Very Concerned for the Future of FFXIV and SE

Funny enough yeah. Sony for years has had excessive and unnecessary censorship in titles ported to their platform as has been pointed out on numerous titles that were available on all consoles though I wonder if its just for US/NA releases. One of the first examples I came across was the game BMX XXX where people were poking fun at the playstation version having more censorship than the gamecube version. It's been getting noticed more in recent gens cause of digital store platforms on consoles.

Except Sony are fine with FFXIV and it's one of the top multiplayer games on the PlayStation platform, I highly doubt they'd touch the vanilla game. The bigger concern would be Plugin Andy's having the rug pulled from under them but that's something Square Enix could easily do right now anyway.

My main concern would be rampant censorship from Sony if they buy out Square Enix.

Though SE has censored their own games before in the past, but it wasn't extreme...but Sony is a different story as of late.

I agree with sentiment but can we even name one major studio/company that isn't? I really have troubles with it when it comes to the big names...

I'm guessing the CEOs are just confident they'll be bailed out after their massive failures. 1st it was Spriis Within which caused the merger of Squaresoft-Enix. Then again in the early 2010's where Sony purchased 18% of SE stocks.

You'd think they would more cautious, but it seem they got comfortable taking risks because they knew they'd be fine via getting bought out.
