In a game with E8S why is SE banning people with suggestive Adventurer Plates?

Bait aside, this has been brought up before, and it is foolishness.

If you can't understand the difference between designed, curated experiences and random idiots doing what they think is ok, it's on you.

Short version: Their house, their rules.

Long version:

The arguments here are essentially "Hey look, there's an actor dressed up as Cinderella taking pictures and signing autographs. Since they sell Cinderella costumes I should be able to do that too", or maybe the stark difference between "let's ride Pirates of the Caribbean and "Well, they sell pirate themed stuff that I can wear, so I guess it's ok to raid the shops and rob people."

Do I think it is childish to have suggestive Adventurer Plates? Yes.

Should they be warned? Yes.

Should they be harshly banned (3-20 days)? No.

I don't think there is a good reason to be banning people for a suggestive adventurer plate that doesn't even show any nudity. Square Enix knows EXACTLY what they're doing when they added in subligars, swimwear, Coeurl briefs, 2B thighs and the like.

You cannot have your cake and eat it too. So many facets of this game are built to facilitate suggestive and 18+ activities. They know their thirsty audience and they want to monetize them. But the moment they go a bit public? That's a ban.

Slapping them with a 20-day ban is way too extreme for something that 99% of adults would not be offended by, minus an eye-roll. You get a lower ban duration for harassing someone in chat and using racial profanity.

Most of the suggestive poses so far are tamer than whatever music video Nicki Minaj or Cardi B made in the past ten years. This is such a disproportionate punishment for something most adults aren't bothered by.

You are a player. You are not a developer. You will abide by their rules whether you like it or not.

I agree with what many has said. If you don't want a ban or a warning, then don't break the ToS. This is not a 18+ MMO

And why is it even possible to turn the camera in the needed angle? SE could simply reduce the angles and problem solved...

As simple as it is, Plates are one of the best things they added in this game for me.
It's just really fun. I love checking them out. Don't reduce anything it's already limited.
I would hate for it to be even more restricted because people wanna act up.

In Ctystal Conflict they get shown at the start of each match. I personally don‘t care much what ppl do but after seeing zoomed in butts etc it gets tiring, which is why I‘d love a toggle to turn them off.

This happens in every city. he's correct that if it's in the game, players will use it in this manner; your opinion on their glamour doesn't matter; Square put a system in the game which is easily abused. This abuse has led to degenerate behaviour, which was to be expected.

You cannot give players a system knowing full well that they will use it in a perverted manner and then ban them from expressing themselves. It's on Square to do the right thing and rework the system rather than harassing its player base for using the tools as they are expected to be used.

It's like the government selling suggestive clothes and then expelling people from society for using them in a low-class passport photo.

If anything, the easiest solution would be to allow people to set their plates as above 18 or NSFW and give people the option to see it or not.
