Yeah it exists, as a female model since 9S uses female hyur body with modified animations. They'd actually need to adapt it to Hyur Male, Lalafell and Roes.. Nothing mind boggling about it other than why they didn't do it in the first place instead of doing it for 2B's outfit.

To have 9S present, his outfit existing in-game, and bypassing it… I still believe they completely disregarded the fact that he's a main character. Automata isn't solely about 2B with 9S just floating around in the background. Both are indispensable if the story is to be told. It really wouldn't be all that troublesome to implement his outfit, and the demand is clearly still around. Here's to hoping they double back and add it.

I'd love to see those around. They effortlessly compliment the themes of numerous jobs. I like many of Noelle's looks as well: a tasteful fusion of mecha and streetwear.

i might have to watch some lore videos, ive played automata and I'm currently working on finishing replicatant but i now realize there's a lot more than those two and i aint got time to play all that XD

If you want more digestible story coverage, I recommend Clemps' videos on the subjects! He's covered all three Drakengard games, OG Nier, and Automata. Humor is hit or miss, I personally find him hilarious, but ymmv. Still very informative and much quicker to watch than a full playthrough, if you don't have the time for those.

There was also a massive lore video a long time ago that covered the story up until Automata.

Don't forget the novellas, concerts, stage plays, etc. They add a lot of depth, meaning, and understanding. Automata's "final ending" even lies in one of the concerts.

Still super annoyed Fending didn't get the Yorha armor, like it was one of the most obvious expectations.

It would've been especially fitting for the Puppet's Bunker. Instead, three entire sets were met with nothing more than sleeve length adjustments.

Yeah it's kinda weird how they decided to waste time on doing 2B's outfit for males when nobody but crossdressing roes would wear it as a joke if at all, I wouldn't have high hopes of them doing 9S's outfit but if they did that'd be nice. A2 being forgotten entirely is also kinda predictable but she has no outfit to speak of anyway.

There's plenty of good reincarnation outfits tbh, even the NieR crossover had some great outfits, but I doubt we'd actually see them implemented. I mean aside from the various yorha unit remixes we've got as a raid set, they decided to give us extremely minor side character (Anemone has like one line) and literal background npc clothes for the last raid. I don't really see them revisiting Automata proper, if they did do 9S clothes they'd probably just add it to the loot list for the 1st raid. Maybe in some years we could have a Replicant crossover instead though, I find that more likely. If it was a Reincarnation one I think it'd be pretty minor, but who knows. They could always just do the Cryptlurker thing and do something that is heavily inspired by something.

Well they did go back in and add Pod 602, so it seems like it's not unreasonable to expect that they could release more stuff with enough feedback.

And yeah, it's odd that 2B's outfit is the only one they added because 9S is arguably more protagonist than she is if you play the game >.>

In the end unfortunately it’s just the obvious bias SE has towards women. Yoshi P only plays female characters so it’s easy to see why the bias is there. Males are constantly shafted again and again with stuff like this.Ironic because Yoshi P preaches about trying to be more inclusive yet he basically says fuck the males.

You've summed it up. Instead of a proper 9S set, they thought that was sufficient. Why go through the hassle of scaling 2B's set for males when they could've presented the already in-game 9S set? As I've mentioned before, SEGA who doesn't even own rights to Automata, released sets for 9S (including a female variant), 2B, A2, weapons, and even an Emil head. As for A2, I figured SE left her out because while present in other collabs (SINoALICE, Re[in]carnation, etc.), she's often nowhere to be found where story is concerned. That, or they didn't want any perceived obligation to release her set or hairstyle.

There's always the Saucer and PvP; both are great outlets for post-raid/event releases. With Automata receiving an anime adaptation, they could also tie some items in with a questline and FATE.

I hope that isn't the case (all the more when you consider the state of female Viera), but regardless, the lack of a 9S set definitely reveals another instance of being out of touch with the playerbase.

Anything more Nier, would be a lovely addition!

They have means to add more Nier glamour into the game, and especially 9S cosplay! No nines or A2 set makes no sense at all either. To be honest, I'm surprised and really wondering why they haven't added more Nier content into the game, its obviously super famous and the glamour from the Nier Raids are still among the most popular/desired glamour pieces in the game.

A2 leggings, top, (long)gloves, along with Operators long gloves, black lace sleeves, and Nier face veil, would be pretty big bonus to glamour designs. Other than obviously giving 9S and top scanner designs too.


Endwalker glamour has in most cases, with few exceptions, been so disappointing and often bland/boring that they could use another Nier content injection, to lively up the possible glamour sets. not to mention they could/should remove the job restriction for Nier sets, so people can freely mix and match them more.
I wouldn't mind them giving us some Drakengaard content/gear too, being able to get any of the main character sets/weapons would be down right gorgeous.

Endwalker's Deep Dungeon having Nier themed floors would be perfect cherry on the top. Actually, next Nier set content being Nier/Drakengaard sets/weapons as rewards from doing said Deep Dungeon, would be pure bliss for me. Especially if it had the zones from each games included in each 10 floors. I know that its just wishful thinking but oh well, we can dream can't we? Would be neat with any story inclusion from Taro himself as well, so many possibilities, yet so much potential is simply overlooked or ignored. Such a shame really.
