You give up your house, you are likely to never get a house again in this game. If someone wants to accept that, then sure, give up your house.

As bad as that sounds, at least people have Apartments. Those don't go anywhere. It's not a solution, for sure, but eh it's something?
honestly if they made the apartments slightly larger, or offered versions with an upstairs/downstairs i would be happy. I really don't care about having a house plot, but i do care about having a larger housing space where i can flex my decorating skills because my apartment, while nice, really isn't big enough for the things i want to do without compromising on my design which majorly sucks.

Yep. And if someone wants to keep paying, then accept that too. But don't start whining about how you can't unsub because you'll lose your house as if you have no self control.

If people agreed on that then buying houses and refusing to unsub because you could lose it is definitely not the way to tell them "I don't like this system". Honestly it seems like they have the right of it. Why make unlimited housing when people who can't let go will keep paying? Freaking brilliant.
But yeah willingly buying a house fully knowing that you will lose it when you stop your sub for too long, and then going "I can't unsub because I'll lose my house, that sucks" is like... what did you expect?
I think it's disingenuous to frame it as 'whining' when competitors to the game manage to offer the ability to spend months or even years away and still have a house waiting for you upon your return.
Furthermore, it ignores the simple fact that player housing is a big draw for many of us and if we're lucky enough to obtain one there's no guarantee we'd be able to snag another after losing it. I'm lucky enough to own a mansion, though if I were to lose it for whatever reason I wouldn't look twice at the game again. Much like how a raider wouldn't bother investing in the game if they lost access to raid content just because they took a break.
Asking for it to be changed is not whining, but simply bringing up "I can't unsub because then I'll lose my house" often is.I think it's disingenuous to frame it as 'whining' when competitors to the game manage to offer the ability to spend months or even years away and still have a house waiting for you upon your return.

It's not too often I see people ask for the ability to keep your house though. Last time I brought up extending the time you can be away from the house, in fact, most people were pro-losing house. Some even wanted it to be shorter.
Because most people only want things that directly benefit them in some way.Asking for it to be changed is not whining, but simply bringing up "I can't unsub because then I'll lose my house" often is.
