Another question. Couldnt the same be said for those who recently jumped into Lost Ark and other MMOs that they have a lot of content to go through so you wouldnt be complaining about any sort of drought, just like how we dismiss new FFXIV players who'm also recently started and they have a lot to go through?

Anyway off-topic, but your server got world 2nd of DSR if I'm to recall? Congrats.
Yep, it was pretty hype in our FC Discord.

I criticized Lost Ark plenty. It has much more content for raiders but it's extremely casual-unfriendly.

In the span of one year (2021) Lost Ark released three times the amount of raiding (in terms of encounter length) than FF14.

FF14's high-end raids (Ultimate) are much harder and more polished, but for a LOT of high-end raiders these days we are basically only playing the game for Ultimates, and even Savage is an afterthought now.

Lost Ark's raids are mechanically simpler (it cringes me every time to see people saying it's the most difficult MMO) but they are way more engaging and have higher replayability because of their random nature and jobs that are much more nuanced than FF14 jobs.

I have absolutely zero desire to reclear any Savage raid or even old Ultimates these days. Even speedrunning is boring now since it's just crit-farming.

    3. Boredom because, for the most part, every single MMO out there produces further content on an erratic schedule.

That last one depends on the company producing the MMO. For Square Enix, if they say "4 months" it will be 4 months. In other games, not-so-much. <memories of waiting for 10 months until the next WoW expansion came out>.
    That is brutally true.
I will say I do like that FFXIV is consistent in its patch cycles. It just wish each patch had a little more variety. Hopefully 6.2 will be awesome with criterion, island sanctuary, and new raid tier / ex it sounds a like a nice well rounded patch and I think they mentioned another palace of the dead type thing unless that is 6.3. I will say it does feel kind of boring that there is little character progression / gear progression for the odd numbered patches as well. And the odd number patches typically don't have as much weight of content behind them because of this IMO. And the x.x5 patches are what ever.

Making Hrothgar hairstyles is draining dev resources and there's no guarantee they can always focus on the game to deliver it. If you don't like Hrothgar hairstyles please quit the game. Not every criticism is warranted.
The fact that some people even liked your post to begin with says a lot about the community as a whole.

I guess sarcasm is too difficult to detect.

Oh my. The butthurt. Ascended hemorrhoids!

You know, I honestly feel happy for this xD thanks for the notoriety

too bad I'm not into trolls, so... sorry sweetie, better luck next time

Imagine being so butthurt, so incredibly maldy, that you post the exact same shit in two threads. That's not sad, that's just depressing. Hilarious, but depressing.

I'm really not interested in Island Sanctuary, haven't tried the new PvP, don't touch Savage or Ultimate, but I'm very glad SE is thinking of people who do like that content and are working to include it. I advocate for it for the good of the game, so players can find something they enjoy. I'm very limited in my own content. I often need to find new goals for myself. And I think anyone who does limit themselves is going to find themselves at that point. I also agree with the other poster that if content is designed to exist indefinitely, it will pass a point where it's more abusive to players than beneficial. It doesn't allow players to ever finish their goal and move to their next goal.

That's a thought which has crossed my mind, but I hope that's not the case. Yoshi did say here they were thinking about the feedback in relation to more challenging 4 man content, and didn't wish to elaborate further at the time, and Criterion dungeons do seem to be the only thing that might fit that bill based on their current content release schedule. Let's hope this isn't misplaced optimism.

Pretty much the only time they've been correct that content is actually hard is Ultimate fights.

MFW "new challenging dungeons" in the Endwalker announcement.
