If Sanctuary has gardening, I'm sold.

I'm pretty sure it has been a wide complaint across the board since the release of Apts. In that people wanted gardening tied to the apartment system. Myself included. So I want to go ahead and say it would be -- Equally it would be the biggest missed opportunity if they do not.

Going a bit far don't you think? I don't think the final quality of either of those two pieces of content will be bad. At the very least I hope they'll be a nice pieces of side content that offers something extra to do over time. However with how little we know about them I find the way players are hyping them up to be dangerous and self destructive. Any "promise" we cling onto in regards of those two is at the moment wishful thinking. Because FF14 dev team promised nothing at the time of writing this post. Won't stop people being enraged about broken promises that weren't even made in the first olace though.

People have continuously hyped it up to be the fix for housing, and instanced housing, even after Yoshida has stated to temper expectations.
People would probably be disappointed no matter what, but many are going to be disappointed over something that was never really promised in the first place.

Bozja would've sucked less if they didn't just make it entirely empty fields and put such a horrid timer for CLL/Dal. Joining an instance only to find CLL/Dal already in progress or completed was really annoying. Even moreso when you weren't trying to do those and suddenly all the CEs had like, 5 people in them because everyone left for the next instance.

A lot of this could have been solved by providing more information about it than they have. I think the most info we got about it was the very first time it was mentioned as a key feature in Endwalker. Anything since has simply repeated that initial (and incredibly sparse) information - if they don't just gloss over it entirely.

Players are hyping it up too much, this is very true; they are their own worst enemies in that regard. But the core issue has been and will continue to be radio silence on what to actually expect out of it beyond some vague mentions of gardening and minions roaming around. And at this point, I feel like it might be too late for them to provide more information on it without people inevitably being upset and disappointed.

I've kept my own expectations 6 feet under due to the lack of concrete expectation and info regarding how it will work, what will be included, and how much time will be spent on it in future patches. I genuinely hope it will be something decent if not exactly what many hope it to be, but given past content like Lords of Verminion and Mahjong, I'm not expecting that it will be much more than a glorified personal gardening plot (though I suppose that's something, at least).
