Yeah its pretty strange. If you dare say anything negative about Yoshi P and the devs, these types of people will come out of the woodwork to ridicule you, especially on the FFXIV subreddit.

Typical hero worship. You see it with any popular person (such as Huss of Lips, Toby Fox, JKR, Stan Lee, Notch, that sunny-d coloured man who was in a white-coloured house for a few years, Rebecca Sugar, etc etc.) Once you achieve a certain level of popularity you'll always end up with a group of people whose obsession overrides all logic and reason. It essentially becomes a cult.

Whether they're good or bad, these people have these groups that form around them that lash out at any naysayers.
