We really should be able to glamour other jobs' sets

Honestly this should've been the default just as an extension of their whole "you can level everything on one character!" selling point, I don't understand why we have to *fight* for it...

Indeed, I'd say that "level a job to be able to glamour its gear on other jobs" just seems like something that would be a default feature of the game.

Personally don't agree with removing Job restrictions on glamour, even if AF is outlawed. I mean, think about it. The DRK and PLD AFs are typically just heavy sets of armor, as is much of the fending gear. Why prevent a WHM from wearing DRK armor but let it wear the Cryptlurker fending outfit? It's a nonsensical request. The fact that you have to omit AF from the request proves why you shouldn't get what you're asking for.

Its the exact opposite. AF gear is the only gear that would make sense being restricted and it falls perfectly in line with the request. The amount of examples given in this thread are more than enough.

Honestly, policing what other players should and shouldn’t wear in an mmo sounds really stupid at this point. I’d even extend that to the artifact gear. Who gives a shit if someone wants to wear MCH gear as a SCH or whatever? If you don’t believe you should do that then that’s your choice.

If we must have that restriction, though, because “sacrilege!” Then that’s fine. At the end of the day, it’s a minute amount of gear in contrast the the bulk of Fending, Maiming, Striking etc gear that’s currently held hostage. But I really just think if you don’t want someone else to have the option to wear certain gear, that’s a very weird power move you’ve got going on.

Only sets that should be job AF gear. Everything else should be free game.

Hard disagree on the first half for both preference and practical reasons. Preference wise I'd love to use the ShB DNC AF on non Dancer jobs.

Practically I simply don't have the space to store all of it. While opening up plate usage to all sanctuaries it's still too limited and I'm not about to carry separate sets of gear for each combat, DoH, and DoL job.

The only time I use AF gear these days is when I don't have affordable access to capstone gear and need the ilvl. Effectively what I need to complete the MSQ.

I think so. There is one shirt I'd love to use but can't cause it is DoH/L locked.
