They would need to remake every piece of gear to fit those types. Try umm bigger assets and they will come through nearly every piece of equipment

I can tell you they should have expanded on the current character customization long before they bothered adding in Viera and Hrothgar, then these 2 races should have been heavily polled on their design prior to their design, or implementation for that matter. They weren't designed well and they've quite clearly developed something that has ultimately cost them more time in the long run than if they were to just do it properly from the get-go
I don't think we need alternative body shapes, just a better choice in height, faces, and facial features.

I'd rather they work on giving us all the important customization options which are still missing from the game, such as body hair, divorcing facial hair from face type, adding eyebrow options for highlander males, and giving us the long-coveted butt slider

The more threads of this type I see along others, the more I understand that this game needs a new engine. All our problems with housing, races and customizations could be erased by a new engine build not for Playstation 3, like the one we are using now.
A new character builder with more options like these would be great!
we don't need a "Black Desert" deph of details on it, but some more options would be nice!
God, I'd love this. A lot.
I'll keep the dream alive for as long as I can!

I'm still hoping for a surprise revamp of the character creator come 7.0

Adorable creatures with unacceptable features!

I say yes. More options are good. Will it happen?
No, but there's nothing wrong with more body options lmao, relax.
I do think they need to cease making races and focus on current ones entirely.
We are seeing the issues with Viera and Hrothgar and older races need love.

I'm not one of those people just sit back, and stop asking for requests because they overloaded. I'm sick of people just accepting like its okay that the dev team isn't big enough to have more resources. Square Enix has the money, and they really should hire more teams to get these things done. I've been arguing on the forums forever that the game should get a separate team for quality of life things, because I don't think they have a large enough team to keep up with the pace. No, I read what you said and I don't agree with your idea, because I'd like them to use all those resources to give us more frequent hairstyles and other options that people will enjoy more, including using their time to give us more headgear that we CAN wear. You're not even comprehending what you're asking for, you should know SE are incapable of doing multiple design tasks at once, in a timely manner at that.
Also, correct me if I'm wrong but adjusting our bodies in the character creation will take more work than we know, wouldn't SE need to go back and readjust each piece of gear to re-fit our characters? My characters supposed to have a small bust but I find each piece of chest gear gives it a different size anyway.
One person messaged me and said in regards to butt sliders
"Basically, if they altered character models it would likely require going back over every single piece of gear that's visible on the lower portions of a character in every single animation, and possibly even in every combination, to make sure things work and don't cause excessive clipping, etc. Plus, there are people who like and/or are just used to the current models that wouldn't want their character to be changed, so any change even if it seemed like a no-brainer has to be weighed against the people who like the current situation."
I'm one of those people who like things as they are.
No short female Viera, no tall Au Ra, and especially no comically lanky lalafells.
But if you're really okay with just keeping things as they are, and not requesting for more ability handle larger resources, thats fine. We will reap the consequences though. Fans need to speak up, and say they want more people working on the game. I don't think the ambitions for the game are high enough for the current way that things are. Quality on numerous fronts has been lacking, and it's showing harder than it ever has before. We can live in denial, and act like we only get one choice for one thing, and have to sacrifice everything else for that choice, but that's not the truth. There are other MMOs who have bigger teams, and more resources than this one does, and its time SE learns from them. Even if they also have their own flaws.
Also, you misused my joke. I never actually suggested we get really long lalafell, I just said that elezen look like lalafell. God, these forums tire me out.

No, but you're asking for a lottt, and SE would only long it out/use it as an excuse to flake out of other areas that need seeing to. No one thinks it's okay, if anything everyone on the forum thinks its downright unacceptable that this is the service SE can provide, but are the developers willing to change it? Very unlikely. So, what are these big projects worth that you're proposing? You see it as a quality of life change, I see it as a waste of time that's better suited elsewhere. I really do believe male Viera's creation came at the cost of neglecting female Viera and male Hrothgar amongst other content for years, can you imagine what would happen if SE had to work through this muscle/body slider that you're proposing? Bare in mind how many races and their genders there are, and imagine how much gear there is in the game... Too much work, it would probably be done around the time Yoshi retires in 10 years.I'm not one of those people just sit back, and stop asking for requests because they overloaded. If SE ever make a new MMORPG and get away from this potato engine, yeah I would say they should go all out on the character creation menu, so people can be as creative to their hearts desire, but right now in this game I can only see it taking up too much time and resources.
I understood your joke, but I was being hyperbolic, because overall the idea of these races being majorly different from what they naturally are is weird to me. I don't like the thought of short Vieras or tall female Au Ra, never have done, so...
Square Enix have extorted money from Viera and Hrothgar's limitations, but from the outside looking in it seems barely any of that money is invested back into the limited races. How much money have they made from players
fantasia'ing to and from the limited races? We want more race-exclusive hair.
We want them improved, and we want it done within a reasonable time.
