Most of the NA players that posted in this thread are obviously highly oblivious to the fact that some of us, OCE specifically, have not had housing for 4 months.

Everyone plays the game for different reasons, For some of us Housing is the endgame.

4 months of wasted subs and watching the housing item market crash and burn because of over oversupply, and no demand due to the bug causing nobody to have a house, is not a good feeling.

OHHHH that hit me hard yes yes yes OCE hasn't had housing since we were born. No airships, no submarines, no mats from voyages, and no housing means shards and crystals are charged so very high it's hard to afford them. The market board needs housing to push high prices down, and what about thanavrian onions for growing buddy chocobo? We needed housing yesterday not tomorrow. And ..... what about those who have a house already and have an advantage over the rest of us they are the ones posting those high priced crystals/shards that we need to craft. Two more weeks and every bot in existence will arrive on our shores and steal every house for round 2, 3, and 4. Soooooo mark me crazy I see trouble ahead ...

Not crazy at all. This is what is going to happen, and not just on OCE servers. Bots, RMTers and players with shell FCs will come running in droves since they've all had time to mature their FCs.

I've seen no indication of that in any letters, notes or otherwise. Considering the only recent capacity issue was with the lobby servers, and there was no time between that 9001/2002 and it's solution to dismantle a QA system, ship the servers to NA, EU and JP DCs, physically install the servers, certify them, load software and integrate, and test the solution.

There have however been two mentions in Yoshida-san's notes that the QA environment wasn't a mirror.

I'm going to go with; they didn't bother to set up a proper test system from the start.

Where I am we have development servers, QA which is an exact copy of production, and production servers. Don't really need staging servers since we have QA that can be reimaged as we test things. On development we can play with things to our hearts content to test our code. And then there's redundancy with each with mirrored servers so if one goes down everything rolls over to the backup seamlessly. Sounds like that's probably what they had to deploy as public lobby servers.

there are a bunch games with more focus on housing if that's what you are with, Black Desert, ESO, SWTOR, EverQuest II. Palia is an mmo entirely focused on that, why don't you try one of these while you wait for the fix?

To be fair, it's better to have the housing experience integrated with a general gaming experience you enjoy so it feels more like a normal part of game play (even if you consider housing your end game).

RIFT Dimensions is hands down better for housing but I can't stay interested in the rest of the game. I can log in there to play with my Dimensions but it's not the same as playing here where I move in and out of my housing as I'm enjoying other game play.

To anyone who proclaims "I'm only here for the housing". definitely I say "go play RIFT". The rest of the game being mediocre won't matter.

This is one of that person that's why I answered like that. the first post on this user is being an ass to ultimate players.
