If you’re requesting a race that’s supposed to be beast-like to be more humanised then yes, that’s catering to people. Male Hrothgar don’t have a human face option, so why should the gender counterpart?

And what does me playing Viera have to do with anything?

Ehhh, debatable. Viera literally wouldn't exist if they hadn't catered to their fans. If 'catering' to certain demographics when creating playable races didn't matter, we'd all be playing Midlanders.

Playable races in games are tailored for people who like different things. Some like playing as small and cutesy characters, others like big and bulky, some like being fantasy races like orcs and elves, others just like being an average human, and some like playing something that isn't even humanoid, and therein lies the conflict if whether SE will listen to the admittedly smaller group of people that wants to play a female beastial character, or comfort to the majority that prefers sexy human-not-human aesthetics who may play them.

So you want to rob a beast-like race of having more beasty face options, just because a selected few want to play another version of a Miqo’te? That’s not going to make everyone happy, you’re going to narrow down peoples options of customisations. 2 faces of feline and 2 faces of humans. Remind yourself, no other race has this ‘compromise’ that you’re suggesting. So I don’t see why it should be different for female hrothgar.

How is that a valid comparison? I’m struggling to comprehend if you’re joking or not. Miqo’te can’t be compared to Viera so I’m unsure what your argument is.

I will say there does seem to be a pretty aggressive stigma over "furry" races. I've been seeing it a lot lately when people talk about WoW for example. Like in regards to the new dragon humanoid race - which I think are pretty cool actually. What's the alternative? 20 different variations of humans? I don't really see an issue with it personally, I don't really think about, or care what "furries" do in their free time, as long as they aren't hurting anyone else.

It's because of how furries act. Those who wear the actual fur suits are made fun of and not liked at all because of how "Cringe" they act and so forth. It stems from this.

I like my beast/furry races. I will never wear a fur suit but I do like furry artwork and such. I'm patiently waiting for female Hrothgar....unlike the entitled people screaming for their bunny boys...*cough*.

PS, as someone who does play Hrothgar, I want to change my Highlander DRK into a female Hrothgar, but there's no point if they're just going to be slimmer versions of their male counterpart.

Meanwhile most of my interactions with Hrothgar have been about either comparing glamours, trying to out-cute eachother, engage in Bozja lore, talk about Radovan\Runar\Bajsaljen\Magnus or make fun of how macho they look.

Are there degenerates? ...do Au Ra have horns? Yes of course there are. Just as much as there are degenerate Elezen, degenerate Roegady, degenerate Miqo'te. Degenerates exist everywhere. It's not because furries are into your race that it's suddenly gonna go downhill.

I really hate the term '' degenerate '' it gets thrown at everything particularly if it's not for the typical dudebro or doesn't adhere to super conservative values.
Particularly if it has anything to do with sexuality, it usually comes across like it's some nofap grandma redditor who sees ankles and thinks society is coming to an end because of it who are saying it most of the time.
It's like '' oh your adventure plate is a pinup pose, that's degenerate '' peoples standards for it are so insanely low when I hear that term what I think of is some really extreme and bizarre stuff.

That aside, I really doubt the devs are designing anything for furries specifically.
Furries are such an insanely niche group bellow 1% they're just extremely overrepresented and loud online, I have a pretty hard time believing the devs went '' lets make a furry race '' lol.
At least in FFXIV, in WoW I do think it might be the case because there are concept artists working there that make furry art ( the one who designed the dragon race for example ).
I actually think this might be why the dragon races appearance has been received fairly negatively, they look less like a dragon race and more like a human wearing a dragon skinsuit it's very strange.
I wouldn't say that about Hrothgar tho.
