    I don't know where this forums obsession with green mages come from, they were literally only in FFtactics A2 and just took the buff/debuff spells that used to be on WHM/BLM in other games such as shell and protect.

    But also yeah +1 to onion knight/free lancer, i feel like they are something that would really justify the idea of being a limited job, and pulling synergies from other jobs could be a lot of fun, like I could imagine a "fire" based rotation where you take the astral fire trait from BLM and then use offglobals like dragonfire dive/ stardiver/ hellfrom medium to passively keep it up, and getting super buffed verflares. They could also have access to removed abilities and mechanics from jobs in the past as a way to preserve them, basically allowing someone to "rebuild" a stormblood dark knight if they wanted to for messing around with in old content.

    No more limited jobs, make full jobs that are more unique. What happened to Blue Mage shouldn't be the fate of any other long-time classic jobs or new ones they come up with. The word "limited" should never have been allowed to enter this game's vocabulary.

    Merchant/Gambler from Bravely Default! Don't know how it would work in a MMO tbh or the logistics of it, I just want to throw bags of money at people in pvp and have it do damage. Plus, the roulette wheel for Gambler was fun. You'd get more damage/exp/various buffs if you spin on even numbers, ect..

    Plus, the glam would be nice. The rich/elegant looks of a well-to-do merchant would be poppin

    Maybe not applicable to the game today, but it would be cool if Freelancer was the "default job" of everyone upon entering the game, and at level 10 or so you'd get to choose the guild to enlist to.

    On topic:

    - Beastmaster, and pets being a collection system like minions, with their own tournament fights in the Coliseum, where you control the pet versus other pve or pvp enemies. Puppeteer in the same fashion.
    - Magitek pilot, a special limited job with vehichle based content

    You just gave Yoshi-P the solution to getting rid of all pre job crystal classes! xD

    Given it's been over 3 years now since BLU was added and we haven't heard anything about more limited jobs, I doubt we'll see more of them. Ofcourse a SHB release could have been delayed due to covid, but we don't have any hints towards that.
    We might get the LV80 BLU update some time this year, but after that we're proably looking at 2 years between updates since it's catching up to level cap.

    Personally I would be ok if they made some good side-content and then created a FFXIV original job around it.

    I doubt he would, though... The classes are still a huge chunk of ingame lore and content.

    I think in general classes are fine, though. The change I would make was to make a requirement to have a job stone to get into the Castrum/Prae dungeons.

    Nah, make the Crystals a requirement at 30/31 for dungeons and such. There was a thread that talked about that here awhile back.

    That works too... And, as much as I love leveling 2 jobs with 1, they defnitely need to separate SCH and SMN. Nowadays they are completely separate in actual mechanics and actions, and since ACN have the direct upgrades to SMN, SCH could be just like AST: unlocked at level 30 without ACN tied to it.

    This would broaden the option for healers at lower levels.

    Agreed. The jobs we have are already on the way to being limited as it is, we don't need to give them more ideas.
