https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodes...d9bc9b87b7c6fb here you go follow up 5, it seem to be like in the middle of may.Just think some sort of update would be good, even if its a "hey we are still working on it ,give us 7 more days"
On the 18th they said 3-5 days but may require more ( no probs)
On the 22nd they said it will be the original 3-5 days plus more time (ok)
But its now been another 5 days since then with nothing.
Someone mentioned golden week this week coming, and its a week holiday?
So if they don't implement the fix by end of business friday it may not be till the week after next?
They did say in the 4th follow-up that plot purchase and relocation would be suspended as of the 6.11 maintenance. It could be that happened as planned but nothing changed to update placard information. We were expecting them to be ready with the fix sometime this week, which would then require an emergency maintenance, but now we know that's a few weeks away. Thanks,
So as we feared for some of us, that maybe what would happen is.........As its golden week coming up, if they didn't fix it before the start of holiday it wont be till after then.
So the testing wont be over the next 8 days ....it will take 8 days or so to finalize the fix after there rest.
Then it will be patched in.
Also what happens with the plot timer that was extended till the 29th?
Didn't they have to do emergency maintenance last time to extend that?
Was there mention of the same, as it runs out today?
And i still unsure of the "However, the creation of such conditions is subject to factors beyond our control"
They mean the timeframe?
"creation of such conditions is subject to factors beyond our control" could mean any number of things. Considering they did state it would need 8 business days yet from a non-JP perspective they're taking 13 business days, chances are good that Golden Week is at least one of those factors.

I completely understand they are now going in to a holiday period but that does stop me being very disappointed with SE with the 16th May date![]()
I think we all are.
I'd still rather have them take their time and do a thorough job of testing over rush out the fix and create a new set of problems.
I wonder how all the players that had been advocating for the lottery solution for the past 3 years feel now. They kept saying it would be so easy for SE to do.

Please show me a quote from one of my posts where I said it would be easy. All I have ever said is that given the current scarcity of housing, a Lottery would be the fair solution for distribution. As far as the results of the Lottery so far, I am satisfied for the most part. Would it have been nice to have not had that Zero bug crop up? Yes it would have. However, Sometimes a problem shows up and you just have to be patient while it gets solved.I think we all are.

The post said "they" not you". How did you think that was directed at you? Please show me a quote from one of my posts where I said it would be easy. I think everyone with the bug is disappointed that's a given. The issue though is to fix it not make matters worse. They are doing the right thing and heaven only knows what will happen if things get worse and not better after the update.
With that resolved the lottery should move as intended. I just hope they're also looked at the numbers and make ward adjustments when they implement the next lotto. The FC imbalance is only enabling the cheaters to spin their magic.
That wouldn't have been directed at you since you just recently joined the forums after the lottery was already announced. I was referring to those who had been asking for a lottery for about 3 years now. They kept insisting it would be really easy to do and that it would solve the housing problems. Please show me a quote from one of my posts where I said it would be easy. Perhaps, perhaps not. Since they need to roll out a patch regardless even if the 30-day requirement is hardcoded it should be a simple enough change to add however many days the delay has taken. Hopefully it's a tunable parameter so that it can be adjusted as needed. Even if nothing went wrong it's about as effective as the speed limit signs on the highway.

The post said "ALL THE PLAYERS THAT HAD BEEN ADVOCATING FOR THE LOTTERY SOLUTION". The time frame given gave no indication that it was anything other than inclusive of all posts written over the last 3 years. Therefore as written, yes, that would have included me. If Jojoya had not meant to include posters like me, then Jojoya should have picked words more carefully. I see in a later post that Jojoya did get more specific about which posters that were meant.
