I suspect they are taking a heck of a lot of time to go over any fix with a metaphorical magnifying glass, looking for any possible flaw. And running tests repeatedly.

Because if I were in their shoes, I guarantee you that I would rather delay any fix to double and triple check every aspect of it than push the fix out and have something new break. From both a "corporate public relations" standpoint (were I corporate PR) and a "not getting a stress-related ulcer" standpoint (were I one of the responsible developers).

They already said more than 5 days ago that they already found and fixed the issue. And needed to run it through the test server. It's gonna take longer than 5 days to continuously run a test over and over? Further. We've had no update in about 6 days now actually. From tests i've run in personal and business applications. 5-6 days of consistently pushing start-restart-start is more than enough time to not only make sure you've fixed it but to at the very least tell us what is going on. Considering, again, Friday is the updated claim cut off and they hasn't said ANYTHING about pushing that back again

I just hope they won't push it back again... Or at least tell us something about the current status the next days. Even it is might end in an "We're still testing to be absolutely sure that this cannot happen ever again. Jadda jadda jadda" But leaving all of us without any information is kinda.. meh. It's been 10 days now of waiting since that bug occured and left many of us dissapointed. I think it's about time that we get some sort of info where they're at currently.

They found and fixed the issue that happened with the lottery, yes. When they run a new one, it won't happen again.

They also said previously that they were trying to figure out how to collect gil from people who won but had a busted placard, so withdrew their bid thinking they'd lost; SQEX want to make sure people who did that don't basically get their win invalidated. If they announced they'd finished writing a way to handle that, I missed it.

That part, the changes/new stuff to handle that scenario, I imagine they want to test very very carefully before they push it live.

What do you mean you hope they don't push it back again? You do realize that they HAVE to push it back in order for those that got 0'd out to be able to claim their lots. Right?

I'm sorry. My words were misleading here I guess. The thing I aimed for with this was meant that they won't push it back again because they are able to patch the bugfix and grant the people the plot who lost to 0 before the current claim cut runs out so that there is simply no need for another pushback

If there's no patch today, they HAVE to push the claim period back. Period. Because that would only give people a day or less to claim their house once fixed. But I mean hey, an update on the situation would be nice

The maintenance for Patch 6.11 will impose a temporary suspension of plot purchases and relocation for all players, including winners of the recent lottery. This suspension will continue until the fixes and data restoration for the housing lottery system have been successfully implemented.

Likely something like; doesn't matter what the date is on the placard, all the ageing has been disabled.

Actually it's been 3 business days yes 5 in total but they said they would work on it during business days.

It said in the recent update that it could take several extra days after the 26th to finish.

I personally wouldn't expect any info till the beginning of May at this point, if they're already saying: "We may need a few more days."
