It could just be future preparing to avoid more problems? I've heard for a while that toxicity in pvp is an issue though it's not something I experience because I don't use it. I do avoid LoL because of toxicity though so maybe that's the picture they are trying to avoid? Just speculating though.

They should just shut down PVP I don't think the snowflakes from FFXI can handle grown people ragging on each other. Chezus and here I thought they made Endwalker to reference the weeb fanbase and having a massive depressive make an anime kawaii ^_^ love doll to be the destroyer of all weebs and then reminding us a massive depressive will always have a cursed soul.

I avoid PVP because I know I would suck.

This isn't just a SE thing . Remember what OW did to curb toxicity lol. Or Nintendo removing taunts from online play (I guess you can still count Wii Fit Trainer as your taunts because she does it actively during the match) "When exerting yourself, remember to keep breathing".

I am okay with curbing it in environments it doesnt belong..

But pvp is were it belongs ur suppose to let out all that pint up stuff and destory be harsh cruel etc in pvp.. Doesnt mean anything after match can be nice but in a fight... Its just so fucking stupid to expect friendsly cupcake prancing hand holding.

Well thanks for admitting your bias. I don't pvp much either, but I know others do and care a lot about it. They deserve to have their issues heard as well.

It'd be nice if they addressed the blatant cheating that is ruining the mode, but at least now I can sleep at night knowing they're cracking down on emotes and someone saying "nice job" when people run in 1v5.
