I've had multiple instances where respectfully/purposefully discussing my disappointments with others was met with dismissal and an air of, "Oh well; move on." Kaiten is a perfect example. People are often quick to disregard a problem until it becomes their own—until it affects their main. If they rarely touched healers or tanks, all of this had been dull (or irritating) noise in the background of their FFXIV experience. So while I'm saddened to look at the ghost of Kaiten on my hotbar (not to mention the loss of parrying with Shinten and other potentials for Merciful Eyes), if 6.1 was what it took to shed enough light on these issues to get more players' attention, it was worth something.

Many are recognizing just how much job identity has been diminished since SB. I hope to see more speaking up, but I also hope to see the devs meet those efforts with receptivity instead of dismissal.

Believe me I have always been annoyed at how the direction of the game was being handled since the later half of ARR. I wasn't loud precisely of what you said, I was also shot down and I was told to wait, because it will get better. It was also early on to a revived game, I had hope. There were obviously good points and things I loved, and still do love about this game. It's no longer enough and I'm tired of speaking to a team that has their hands over their ears.

When every single time a problem has been met with design, the answer is removal, and we're left with nothing. When the beloved analogy of a Theme Park tears down the thrill rides to make more room for storytelling rides, I'm going to be upset. When the vehicle to experience those rides have been replaced with self piloted controls for Bumper cars so you don't get hurt, or the race track. When the concession stands only offer three choices. I can go on, but people should get the point. This is no longer fit to be called a Theme Park.

"Just give it more time." And so they take a seat on one of those self-piloted bumper cars until it all becomes so mind-numbingly boring that they finally look up and ask, "What happened to this place? When did it become so monotonous?" They look back down and realize the car is functioning at minimum capacity. They look up once more and notice they've all become the same shade…indistinguishable.

Better to address things before jobs reach that state instead of quietly carrying on just to end up scratching our heads down the line, wondering what went wrong. I'm glad you chose to speak up.
