Suggestion. Removal of gender-locked hair.

Unrelated to anything else in the thread so far, I have to say I cringe every time I see the phrasing of the thread title and picture it being literally interpreted as removing the hairstyles rather than unlocking them.

I'd personally rather see more manly hairstyles, it could include longer ones as well. Vikings used to have longer hair for instance.

Or like the character on my avatar. Cyberpunk inspired hair with cuts and all that.

I'd like to see dev resources put into more hairstyle and new ones. I'd also like to see some effort put into selective head gear for Viera and Hrothgar. I'm not personally in favor of unlocking old styles but that would depend upon the effort needed to do so.

Or.... They could be able to use the hairstyles... As someone who comes from a race with limited hairstyles but a love for long hair styles on both male and female characters. There are many haristyles which I have seen on female characters that with some slight tweaking. can work on male characters... Plus. Male Roe have access to a twinbun hairstyle. There are alot of hairstyles, not just the racial ones but the generic hairstyles that all females get access to which would work on male characters. At the same time there are ones which don't. But that's where it comes to either unlocking all hairstyles, or only unlocking certain hairstyles.

Hell, there are already some hairstyles which are available for both male and female characters. Every hairstyle after this in the list is available to both sexes of Hyur. The same is true for all the other races, The only hairstyles which at the moment, are not unlocked are actually a minimum and a small minority of the hairstyles available in game.

Ironically, there ARE a few of even the racial hairstyles that aren't genderlocked. But just take up different slots. Genderlocked hairstyles make up about... 40% of the Hairstyles in game. This is including the Racelocked hairstyles as well. But since Most races (Bar Hrothgar) Use generally the same headshape, just scaled slightly differently. This is definitely feasible.

wow this thread turned into something i'm not surprised about...

i don't have anything against unlocking old hairstyles, but i agree with some of the other posters, i'd rather have more masculine choices along with the feminine choices. i'm really tired of the feminine and unisex hairstyles (thats actually feminine). also - please give male viera more masculine hairstyles. theres... very few.
