I was the only one to buy a ticket, I got winner number 0, offered Refund, took refund, now they say I shouldn't have.

Hold on to that gil and don't spend it.

They will likely work out a way for people who refunded to pay. But I can imagine it's something like, "please do this thing inside 5 days" to retain your house.

Don't forget you also need extra to be able to buy your housing permit after taking possession of the plot.

What about those of us who were the only ones to buy a ticket on a plot, and got the 0 bug, and thus took the refund, I read the last part of the lodestone update as, Yes, I won, the plot will be awarded, but we haven't decided if this <redacted> mess we created will require manual Gil collection, No Gill collection, A system to collect it, or No, your screwed if you took the refund.

Are you taking the "may" in the statement (as quoted here in post #29) to mean "may or may not"? It doesn't read that way to me at all. It's more like we'd usually use "can".

The statement looks straightforward to me: they have the results, which will state that you won; now they need to collect the money and need to work out how they can collect it back from you since you withdrew it from the lottery, which wasn't supposed to be part of the process.

They haven't said anything that I've seen about it being a problem if you collected the money already.

By the way, for those who have already taken the gil refund and spent it. Is SE still going to award the houses to the winners?

I've seen discussions where people said if you are short of the requisite gil, they will make up the difference and award the plot to you, meaning people could exploit that by spending/transferring gil to friends and get a 50 million gil large house for free.

SE has never once said that. I would advise ignoring what random people on a forum say regarding getting anything for "free" or "making up the difference", and simply wait for more information from the devs. Some folks want to spread disinformation to rile people up, so don't be fooled.

Or more likely in this case, hoping to screw the winners over by invalidating it due to lack of money.

If your housing lotto did not end with a 0 winner, then just like me you lost fair and square, there will be nothing done for those unless you had a 0 or a “no participants”

This isn’t true. Every single auction was wrong. Even if you personally wouldn’t have won, it was done wrong. Every “0” was not counted in every auction. So each auction had someone who would automatically never have stood a chance at winning. Also, that means the winning number was off by 1 person, so it should have been the next highest number if it actually added “0” person in, and if you moved “0” person to an actual spot they should have had, of “1”, then the winner should have been the person who had the number below the winning number as advertised. The whole entire auction was wrong for every single house. The ONLY way to fix that is to wipe the slate clean, reset everyone to where they were with housing right before the auctions began, and redo the first auction.

No the auction was not wrong. 0 was not factored into the actual lottery itself, the lottery was done correctly, these results just couldn’t be fed to the housing server in many cases. Hence the return of 0 being the winner. Haven’t they made enough lodestone posts clarifying this already?

So in other words people may win the house and then all houses will be unavailable as usual. I left a server to go to another and now I doubt I will ever get one. Instead of rerolling the lottery

It looks like there were not fake tickets. What happened is that if you got a 0, the information wasn't communicated to the housing server and because it had no data to show, it just showed 0.

I agree and I am so happy I won , but I got a zero. It scared me at first but now I am settling in and calming down and making furniture to make my house the best looking house in Ravana. I already purchased my exterior, the Café'. It is gorgeous and you really don't need to spend that much on outside furniture it's so self contained. Cost me 4 million gil but worth every cent. yes I could have waited and made it myself for free but this situation has made me tired of waiting and I'm rich.

I left NA in order to get a house and i'm glad I did. I prepared, made 65 million gil and waited for my chance and won, but got a zero in a only entry plot
