I guess, it will not be possible to get "transformations" in FF14 without a huge effort. The problem is, the concepts between FF14 and WoW how the characters are designed are very different.

In WoW, there are no "real" clothes, except weapons, shoulders and the helm. It means, if you wear shoes then you character model may be altered in a generic way. But in most cases, shoes are only different texures without character model alteration. This approach has three advantages: almost no clipping, except shoulders, helm and weapons. You can introduce new races very quickly without much hassle. And because clothes are basically only textures, it runs very fast. But this approach is very unflexible. It is very bad for glam because only textures are swapped and nothing more. And some clothes may look very ugly on some races because they will be stretched in a very strange way.

FF14 has "real" clothes. It is great for glam and very detailed clothes. But the drawbacks are known: huge clipping issues and many clothes will need race specific adjustments. Newer game engines can apply clothes on a body dynamicly. Then those drawbacks would disappear. But this approach needs a good physics simulation. I doubt, that the FF14 engine can do that. And physics simulation is also not for free. It will cost performance.
