    I could go on and on. They pick and choose. My first example would have been easily fixed if they actually listened to some of their players.
    Being fair Living dead was never broken to begin with. Just took a bit of skill an attention. So that taking 7 years doesn't mean much to me personally.

    Glamor dresser in housing is another I don't care about. I'm no stickler when it comes to going to inns. It takes 15 secs max to get to one.

    The 2 races for sure got the shorthand moreso Hroth than Viera but they're at least taking steps (better ones for Viera though admittedly, work still needs to be done on both).

    They do pick n choose and neither I nor anyone could definitively say what influenced or props their decision making. I just don't like the notion that "the devs never listen"

    Arguably, yes, living dead was broken because a dark knight couldn't use it by themselves

    Yeah, personally I liked that living dead was a skill that required communication and coordination. It was unique and interesting to have something healers any other tanks needed to play around. I get that a lot of people didn't like it, but I thought it had some really unique flavor.

    Now it's just a strong invuln with a big fat self heal. It's better, for sure. But a lot less interesting.

    The devs are huge sticklers for balance so anything unique will be visually only it seems. On top of that, why make a drawback a unique feature? It would be like having half of Sam's skills damage scale based on the amount of gil they have and can throw a set amount for extra damage. It's a pretty unique feature of the class but the devs would shoot that idea down at conception, lol. It's the same idea, if LD was introduced now it would function more or less the same without the debuff that kills.

    I can only speak for myself, but I think those kind of limitations create more interesting emergent gameplay. Like in p4s during heart stake, I use superbollide in order to mitigate the bleeds, and before the living dead change, I would make a point to try to use aurora and heart of corundum to heal myself enough that the few ticks of bleed that happened when bollide wore off didn't kill me. And since that was all happening while my bloodfest window was up, and I had to move the boss a little, it was actually an incredibly engaging and busy part of the fight. I liked trying to optimize it a lot.

    Now? Well, our DRK doesn't need the benediction earlier in the fight anymore, so our WHM can just use it on me without thinking. Yeah, it's better, it's more efficient, and I have to do less to accomplish the same thing. But it just makes me feel like a little something was lost. Still my favorite part of the fight as a tank, though.
