Thanks for the responses, everyone. After reading through recent posts, it sounds like this bug is happening to quite a few people, as many players notice the ears remain for a moment when switching to the new hairstyles. Honestly, hearing this is reassuring but also strange. If what is occurring is simply the ears getting toggled off by the new hairstyles, I wonder if the developers can easily adjust this setting, so the ears stay visible? If it is a straightforward adjustment, it would be a good first step towards improving the Hrothgar hair situation and making the hairstyles we did get a little more likely to be used since they would look more polished. Then again, if it is a simple fix, why would the developers decide to make the ears invisible at all?

The people responsible for the new hrothgar hairstyles in specific, doesn't understand at all the appeal beast looking races have for those who like to play with them or worse.

they've had meshes in place for other race's ears for ages, will bake it into new pieces, but Hrothgar and Viera need to subsist on the scraps they throw us. "it's just too difficult" isn't really a valid excuse, if you cannot do more than half ass these races, they shouldn't have been released until they were up to par. I have been hitting Crystalline Conflict hard (for some reason, I have aggression that I need to channel...) and seeing all these quick portraits of Lala or Miqo SAM with a special Myochin Jingasa model to allow for their pointed ears was salt in the wound I did not need today.

Lalafell and Elezen have always had ears modelled into their hats. They're usually oversized and gawky.

I am surprised to see anyone voting in favour for paying real world money for a feature that every non-Hrothgar player in this game gets for free. Why would you consider keeping Hrothgar hairstyle changes a rich person thing as a good feature?

As Hrothgar, I would like to see the priorities addressed in this order:

1. Keep the showing the ears on every hairstyle
2. Keep the hairstyle changing via aesthetician
3. Make all hrothgar racial hairstyles available for all faces
   I think the head structure needs to be redone so that the top and back are identical in all cases. Only the face should change from one to the other. The ears must be in the same place in every hrothgar head.
4. Either :
   NEW specific hairstyles for all hrothgars, and i don't mind if we get only 2 per expension. (And make the other head specific hairstyles for all hrothgar). (That's my favorite option)
   or adapt the existing hairstyles, i don't mind if we only get one by major patch, but, please, ask the players wich one they want (for exemple by making a poll every major patch release for the next one)
