Blue Mage being ridiculously polarizing at the time? "Nah, people just have shoddy tastes and don't know how hard it is to implement something like that"
Eureka sucking hard in Anemos and being Black Hole levels of suck in Pagos? "But I like FF11's slow paced system, you guys just don't know what's good"
PvP being a constant miss? "Nah, the game just isn't good for PvP anyway"
Umbrellas and Mahjong when we have "Limited Races"? "But it's good for RPers!! We need more of this!"
Streamlining of classes? "The classes were too clunky before and had ridiculous button bloat. Nevermind Scathe exists to this day with only one real purpose. Or SMN Physick"
Hrothgar and Viera hair and headgear? "You guys knew what you were getting into"
Servers crapping out despite the obvious rise in player numbers with WoW mass exodus and the free trial giving them tremendous success? "Who could have foreseen this!?"
Look, I'm aware that this is a very common, very normal bug. It's a problem in arrays. It's not Y2K levels of "stupid but breaks the system", but it's still something that happens when you're not paying attention. It happens to the best of programmers, and yes, it is true that everything can get thrown into the water because one comma was misplaced in your code.
But that's why we care enough for QA. That's why we test things out before shipping, as best as we can. Every game has bugs, but not every bug breaks the system.
And this, for a lot of people, is the final drop on an already full glass. Square's been getting far too lenient on quality and it's shown. All their good will on ARR keeps being spent and spent and spent. A lot of you will likely still have patience for the dev team, but it's high time we tell them that though we like them a lot, we do have our limits.
