Bugs happen from time to time, in every game. But THIS bug is causing immense stress on the players who are affected by it. Just imagine you were the only one bidding on a plot and "lost" due to this bug. If you bit on the same plot again, you are maybe not alone anymore and another player wins the house which actually would have been yours without the bug.
Like I mentioned before.... bugs happen.. but this one is kinda unacceptable.

Me and another FC member bid on the same lot and we were the only ones bidding. We both lost cause the winning number is 0.
Even though we both already claimed our gil back, the placard still mentions that there were 2 participants. So the data should be there. Basically the devs have 4 days now to sort it out and assign a winner to those "winning number 0 - plots" before people would start to bid on these plots again.

It is unacceptable, but there's also nothing they can do about it. Players have won and build on their plots. The plots that were lost to this bug are still available to rebid on next cycle.
All they can do it fix the lottery system in time for the next cycle in 9 days.

Not true. Games roll back all the time for bugs. Especially this bad of a bug. And then start from the roll back.

More people have won plots than there are plots that got zero'ed. So you'll be pissing off more people by rolling it back.

Actually no. They are not valid. If there is an issue with the coding. That means the next person in line would have won. Not the person who did win. Therefore, invalid.

Instead of there being 4 tickets for 4 players, there were 5 tickets, they had a 20% chance to win instead of a 25% chance. But whoever won, still won, and their win is valid.

Yes. That would mean instead of number 6, it rounded back to ticket 1 as the winner. And no, Fuck that. I spent 200mil and waited at this plot. I dont' care if you won a plot (You clearly did). It's either fixed or they are losing tons of subs over a coding issue. Let alone all the negative press it's gonna have towards the competency going forward and concerns over ultimate

The fairest thing they can do is patch, roll back, and re-do the lottery. Every single person that didn't win could have lost due to a bug, every person who did win also could have done so with the benefit of a bug. There is no way to leave results as is and consider it fair. Lotteries only work when everyone has a fair chance, no one here did. Leaving the results as is throws potentially more players into a narrowed pool of available plots. For many people looking to upgrade their house, or get their first, this is a huge blow and frankly it's upsetting how many people I see with "screw you I got mine" mentalities.

Rather than making the tickets count from 0, it looks like there was an extra entry (ticket [0]) in the lotteries because someone forgot to tell the lottery program to exclude [0] when a ticket (which would be [1]) entered the data pool. That would explain why it displays "There were no participants in this lottery" if 0 was selected, since a lottery that has no entries would automatically roll [0] and return that string.

So if you had 4 people enter one lottery for a plot, it would normally be a 25% chance of winning - but it was actually 20% because ticket [0] was included.

This may be wrong though, because apparently people are now reporting they're not getting their refunds from 0 rolls because the lottery is saying that there were no participants and therefore no refund can be given.
