Why are we allowing sprouts to bid on houses at all

A sprout would not have amassed anywhere near the gil to buy a medium or a large while leveling to 70 or 80. Which I outlined were the levels looking around earlier. I wouldn't paint all sprouts with the same brush stroke like the OP wants to. Sure, maybe there are some instances of level 70ish sprouts in an FC with the minimal number of people. However, there are likely many sprouts out there that legit earned the right to put in a lottery ticket.

Yes alts can bid on a house in addition to their main if they have the funds but they can only place one bid. If alts bid on separate houses on the same account they can only win once house not multiples. Even if they were to win more than one they'd have to choose only one to pay for.

People are indeed permitted to have alt accounts - in fact the Mog Station allows you to add multiple service accounts to the same SE account so you log in using the same ID, password and OTP then select the service account upon which you wish to play. Each service account can be logged in (at the same time in fact) but must of course be manually controlled. Very handy for those wishing solo guilds. You pay a sub per service account so good for SE also. Oh yes and you also have to purchase the game for each service account so it does get expensive.

btw this is not an endorsement for the shell FC's that we all know are set up in order to try and game the system

Just take the sprout icon off, no problem.

Also, it can take VERY long before that sprout goes away. You can easily have leveled 5 characters to 80 by just playing the game in a normal way, and still only be in stormblood. Especialy as a casual player this goes fast because of the daily duty roulette xp bonusses (and because some classes also start at 60).

A sprout doesnt say anything about a player, except for how far he has progressed in the MSQ.

Just coz one twink FC does what you're saying they do, doesn't mean all sprouts do that ^^

I don’t see the problem with sprouts bidding on a house. You assume a lot of things about sprouts. I have my main character and 2 sprouts (I can take the icon off if I want to but it makes me laugh). I have placed a bid with one of the sprouts that has just finished Stormblood (it has 8 lvl 90s already. Gaining xp is a joke these days). I am playing the game very slowly on that character, enjoying some parts of the game that I’ve missed or rushed through on my main, doing lots of side content. When I finish EW, I intend to make that character my main after gearing up. I know a few other people with similar “sprouts”.
