As always: Queen and Chimera Kill Videos

I know this wasn't directly posted at me, but for the record (since we were server first on Besaid), our main WHM didn't log onto the game the entire first day and a half. Most of our LS had school. Two of us went out on Saturday night to drink. On top of that, we all went for 7/7 jobs first before even going in the dungeon.

So despite what you think, not everyone is no lifing for wins. Surprise, surprise: there are skilled players out there like DoW, BG etc. Oh an Da Ra su! :P

And all this hate why? Maybe because you haven't beat the dungeon yet? And even if you did, don't hate on people who enjoy the game for the inner-server competition.

And seriously, all congratulations to you and your LS. The difference here is, you didn't (that I know of) splatter the boards with spoiler videos and pics as if you hadn't done so many times before just hours after every major patch. I just get sick of seeing "We did it, and we did it first - and look, we've I've masked our my gratuitous self-promotion by offering it up as a shiny video guide that we just know you'll all want and love. Thank me later!" Chrissakes, read the thread title. It says, "Please don't forget we're I'm awesome!"

I have no doubt there are Linkshells out there that are equally as good as the two in question, and why do we not suffer their existence with each new patch?

No, I haven't completed the new dungeons yet and that's hardly the meaning or motive behind what I'm trying to say.

Yah the internet has single handedly ruined end game for people. I love people posting they are world first, I would just prefer if they didn't post the strategies after 2 days

Like one has said before, if Mog/BG really had something to lose by posting these vids, I'm willing to bet you'd see a lot less of them. This is why you don't see people posting videos of raw information on how to make the most with the least amount of effort. Doing so would equate Coca-Cola publicly releasing their formula for the sake of proving god-knows-what.

Anyhow, if you really want to post something impressive, fuck the world/server first - show it done with multiple setups and not this liquid cookie-cutter setup that's already formed.

This was probably the world first kill, don't forget that part XD. Nobody knew how to kill it at all and this was our 2nd attempt at him.

I am so disappointed in Aurum Vale. We tried it for the first time today and got Cyclops down our first run. Morbol down our 4th run. Took us literally 3.5 hours O.O. We didn't watch any strats, just ran in blind and figured it out.

I guess 5 chest will add to difficulty, but now its just rinse and repeat.

My videos are the first videos on the web usually, and only tutorial on the web at the time. So explain to me how being the first person to do something, with no information on the web of other setups or strategies, equates to "cookie cutter"?

It doesn't.

If you really want to help this community, do all the self-promotion you want, but as was said before, give the players some fucking time to figure it out for themselves. Post that you beat it first, post a shitload of screenshots if it pleases you, but fucking hell give the rest of Eorzea some adventure for themselves.
