No other job appeals? I've also been shaving down my preferences with each passing expansion, but i still have a couple left (RDM, DRG, all crafting... >.>) but SMN, SCH are gone and healing just leaves a bad taste in my mouth anymore knowing what everyone thinks of it, including the developers. I feel ya, and whatever you do I hope you find a way to have fun!

It's real rough because sam was actually my favorite dps I've ever played, with the new changes it just feels horible. my next few choices were black mage and rdm, but sadly my static already has a black mage and getting the motivation to level rdm is killing me.

Exactly, it has the thing that I like about ffxiv healing and just cranks it up and gives them a proper rotation for both healing and dps as a healer. It's one of the reason why I think about returning even after swearing off of them, because their healer classes are just to dang fun and their encounters actually challenge healers.

I wish there was a single player game with mmo like healing it sounds too niche to actually exist lol.

Yeah dang that would be fun. I've found little games that do healing stuff but nothing like an mmo. God i cannot imagine wanting to ever go back to WoW but if that's where your fun is, more power to ya.

lol you and I are in the same boat. SMN changes are just ... terrible. Special affects are cool and all but there was no reason for them to gut SMN that badly, especially when we don't even have an alternative to that play style... I'm now down to jobs I like? But none of them I love... love enough to grind a relic, spend hours learning the new extreme mechanics or attempting a few savage raids... I basically down to crafting and gathering (which I've always loved) just never focused on just crafting and gathering as much as I am now. Welp... at least I finally have a lot more time to go after special tools and achievements I guess. Getting to that point where I wish I could advance the story as a crafter or gatherer lol.

Other than that, I guess there's always PVP to bring back the joys of playing healer.

I was shocked honestly when I tried summoner in Endwalker. I was having a pile of gems dumped on me to hit three buttons 2-4 times in no particular order for no particular benefit. Red, yellow, green. oh but at 90 green is a dot again and red powers up... something. I don't think anything should have to wait until 90 to be mildly interesting or complex. I had to show my boyfriend to see if I was making it up. Plus like... what does carbuncle even do anymore? So much effort and so much polish but it feels like they just gave up half way. (oh and the effects made me have to turn off other people's effects because they were overstimulating me, which is impressive considering I was always fine with the mess of effects everyone else was doing until now lol)

Advancing the story as a weaver would be kinda great tbh. As it stands, I've decided to start digging into alternate content I didn't give enough attention before, like Eureka or the Deep Dungeons, in between the raids and trials i routinely enjoy.
