Yeah- Not necessary by any means I think they've given us enough exclusive things already. Question though- to what I would fall under- I bought the collectors addition but waited till the regular release so I could obtain BOTH Garlean Googles AND Onion Helm.
I have both items tied with CE and Release. Do I get both titles?
Also would members who linked their XI accounts and XIII game obtain a title?
Currently in the game special items exisit are-
-Onion Helm (Collector's Edition)
-Garlean Googles (Regular Release)
-Sprinter's Shoes (XI account linked)
-Asuran Armbands (XIII game promotion code)
I own all of them. Bought my collectors edition but didn't play till regular release so now what? I can't see them give out the title any other way than having the item linked to your account- but then comes into question those that did buy the CE but didn't link their item...Hmm...
Since the achievement is technically 'bought' would the others be as well in the same category?

Actually ^ Come to think of it I had a friend start playing the game in May 2011 (8 months after the release) And he was able to find a copy of the collectors edition at best buy still. He obtained the Onion Helm but played 8 months after.. How would Square Enix deal with this?
Since he obviously didn't have to deal with fatigue OR sp based off weapon damage. While others did-

Hey cool Siggy NarikoStar! Thats cute :3
About the FFXI and FFXIII titles: Why not?!
About both CE and Standard titles: If you bought CE and started Standard then of course you should have both!
The only possible issue is, most likely SE can only determine CE and Standard by the Age or Date of the Square Enix or FFXIV account. I dont know for sure.
What I do know is: Standard Release was a week after CE. So they could possibly check the date your account was first registered/created.
If you had CE but registered late, maybe it will go by your item code for Onion Helm that you put in!

I like the title idea. I remember how cool it was to walk around with the tiamat trouncer title way before any other HNM LS's killed it.
People recognize titles and recognize the achievemnts behind it. Saying it is on Lodestone is not necessary, since noone ever checks there anyways.
Put it in the game, and every time someone checks you they see it and know what it means.
It's not a very convoluted process. SE has all the required administration tools to identify such things. Even your lodestone says info about your account.
Don't hold your breath. I am still waiting for my cheese cake helmet for being a alpha tester.
