    First time PvP experience.

It's terrible. I did the Crystilline Conflict. And in my first round none of my abilities that the game automatically had on my bars worked. Not one. Apparently they were the old abilities from the last patch. News to me, I've only been playing 2 months, never PvP'd before.

Why do I have to learn my job all over again? And why is it such a dumbed down version?

Secondly: Why, in a team based game, can I not talk to my teammates effectively beyond emotes?

Third: You know what really sucks? Getting put into consecutive games with no healers against teams that have two healers. I can't believe this was developed by the same developers that were responsible for everything else I've done and loved in this game. That's just embarrassing.

Never mind class balance when you can just be deleted before you even know what's happened.

Fourth: The bad job design for PVP. The biggest problem I have is that with such dumbed down toolkits there is no counter play. I have absolutley zero CC and come up against classes with multiple CC's and no way to avoid them. Hell I don't even have and interrupt as DRK.

Seriously what the hell were square thinking with this? It's disgraceful.

1: While they should have had some kind of notice or warning before queueing for PvP since this didn't align to something like a major expansion release, this is patch was a major PvP patch so they probably assumed most people expected that. Especially when all of the job guides were re-done for PvP. This is also pretty normal whenever abilities go through major revisions in-game.

2: I agree, this sucks. Especially when you're with a DNC or SGE who isn't assigning a partner. Admittedly, I would probably get my account banned in some games with the people I get matched with though.

3: It definitely needs some balancing and adjustments, but I really don't understand why people keep thinking they need a healer on their team. If I'm on SGE I can't heal at all, only some shields every 15-30 seconds. The other three healers can basically only heal once every 15-30 seconds but with heals that don't really exceed 15k (even that is really only from Macrocosmos if you get lucky and can pull off one that seeds a ton of damage without people dying). Having a RDM or SMN is going to be a way bigger game changer as they do way more damage and can still heal their teams. Having a tank is a bigger game changer because you can soak so much damage. Don't get me wrong, I'm having a ton of fun with healing in PvP, but that's because I'm not really healing anymore. In my own experience being a healer, most of the games I've lost are to teams without a healer and 2 tanks + either a RDM or SMN.

4: PvP has always been dumbed down ever since they moved away from using the exact same PvE abilities, and effects, and skill customization. Every job has some sort of CC now, DRK's is access denial via DoT and with a bind through their targeted ground AoE, Salted Earth. The problem now, at least for me, is the fact that EVERY job has CC. I feel like I am always stunned or bound or silenced, even if I try to time my Purify correctly. Maybe this is just because I am a healer so I am targeted but it's really frustrating (especially with WAR being able to AoE stun).

You have the Quick Chat. Has about everything you need with audio pings to reinforce calls. Besides, I don't need people writing essay on why we re losing in a 5min game.

Healers are support DPS with some utility. they have cooldowns and resources like everyone else. Just focus the people around them, attack through the small bit of extra healing or defensives they get, and you'll win.

If you got killed because the entire team hit you at once, you might have been out of place and too much in the open. If it was SAM then you were too close to them when someone hit their Chiten, if you were below half HP then it was NIN LB, if it was MCH Chainsaw then you lost a 1 in 33(or 20 depending on which tooltip is right) chance.

Smaller toolkits, but most having dual or even triple purpose. Not to mention PVP isn't scripted like PVE, there is a LOT to pay attention to, and smaller kits help with that. DRK is probably one of the strongest tanks. You have an Invuln that only one other job has, a ton of AoE cleave, an AoE cleave that heals for 100% damage done. Salted Earth reduces your damage takes, heals you, pulls enemies in from a mile away, gives them a vuln up, and Binds them. Plus, to avoid CC's you can always Purify them to get an anti-cc buff, or Guard before hand, like everyone does.
