Adding more Trust is fine, but ffs CAN THEY PLEASE UP THE DAMAGE AND MAKE THE ACTUAL MMO CONTENT MORE DIFFICULT THEN JESUS CHRISTUSES PLEAAAAAAAAAAAASE.

First thing I see when I tune in to Mikepreachwow's Stream today is him looking disgusted by how easy Copperbell Mines is and deciding to literally stand in mechanics on purpose to see how much damage it deals.
And it didn't even deal 10% of his health.
HOW IS THIS OKAY ON ANY LEVEL?

How can anyone unironically with a straight face tell me that this is okay?
That you can literally stand in mechanics and fail them ON PURPOSE and take less than 10% of your health in damage?
It doesn't matter it's an early dungeon ( it's more or less true even in later dungeons too ), why would anyone feel incentivized to learn?

Yeah yeah '' lol WoW streamer who cares ''.
Guys... Not only do I think old FFXIV players think this is garbage and stupid, but it's a horrible first impression for people.
I've lost count how many times I've heard people say that FFXIV is stupidly easy to the point of being boring as hell.

Agree 110%. The game is just boring now and it's sad.

I have done Copperbell Mine, Stone Vigil and the fight against the Ultima Weapon so far and I have to say that I like the Ultima fight now. And the dungeons weren't that bad either.

    Not so much

Honestly, I think they went the right way with duty help. I started a while ago, before Endwalker and got stuck at the first MSQ dungeon. I am playing a tank. So I was quite annoyed when I waited 20 Minutes and no Queue popped. I gave up that night, and a few days later Endwalker dropped. I couldn't play at all, because the servers were overflowing with players. I quit and came back right now. And... could choose to play the dungeon with an NPC group. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I could take my time, figure out where to go, what to do, no one wanted to rush, no waiting for the group, and it worked just fine. I really enjoyed that I did not have to wait around for an MSQ obstacle, or get frustrated because I am blocked from continuing further.

It's the internet, so you can assume that 'most' people dislike everything.

    Example: this thread.

Go play through Praetorium as it exists after the patch.

Then go play Praetorium with a Trust.

Better yet. Go play The Mother Crystal with a Trust.

Your idea of about 'the problem [with the] trust system' isn't valid.

This game has always been catered to single players because its a FINAL FANTASY game first and an MMORPG second. aside from dungeons and optional stuff like pvp everything is centered around the single-player story mode. The multiplayer aspect of it is merely if you want to play with friends or other people. enough with gatekeeping the game from FF who just want to enjoy the story at their own pace.

Or Tower of Zot (Last boss especially), or Tower of Babel (Last Boss again), or Vanaspati (First and Last Bosses).

I have also seen plenty of people who actually can't complete some of the EW dungeons with trusts, they have to run them with people because Trusts put too much pressure on them to perform (that's a "polite" way of saying "Trusts can't carry them through the fight"). This isn't some "death of multiplayer." If anything, it might just result in fewer low level dungeons in roulettes which I welcome.

No amount of trusts will save you from getting yeeted into Sastasha in roulettes.

I'm a returning player (last played during Stormblood 4.0). Currently in Shadowbringers 5.0 (in The Tempest now) and I love the Trust system and the game becoming more solo friendly. It's a godsend.

The reason I say this is because I've partaken in my fair share of the community before and been in FCs/LS. Even raided a bit. Whichever FC or LS I've been a part of there's always been a bunch of drama that has occurred at one point or another between other people and once I was even unwillingly dragged into drama. The latter is what made me stop playing as it sucked all the fun out of the game for me and it took me almost 5 years to feel the urge to play the game again. I even started an entirely new account and played the free trial up until finishing Heavensward and then bought Complete Edition.
As such, I simply don't care about the social aspect anymore and I don't want the drama that invariably comes with playing with other people. All I want to do is simply enjoy a game that I love, particularly the story, without having to deal with things like drama and all the other things that come with it. I'm just over it. It's enough when I have to deal with that kind of stuff IRL; I can do without it in my leisure time.

With that said, I'll use DF when I have to and I have no problems with that. I say hello at the start of a dungeon/trial if someone else does first and at the end I always make sure to say "gg tyfp" unless everyone rushes out. I always make sure to give someone my commendation too. But personally speaking I have absolutely nothing against the game becoming more solo friendly. Sorry not sorry.

Anyway. I don't know what the future holds. Maybe I'll meet someone or a few people that will change my mind, but right now this is my stance.

I apologize for necroing a thread, but I just had to say my piece.

Also have to say that I agree with pretty much everything Liam_Harper said on page 4. Great post.
