The alternative is having the caps bend over the tails like it WoW with the Draenei, Tauren, and Female Worgen (Maybe the newer Fox things too, idk I quit before then). I 100% prefer the tail clipping through as the cloak bending over the tail looks even more atrocious.

There’s no such thing as clipping. Every warrior of light has a pair of scissors and cuts a small hole where the tail goes. It’s intentional, see?

The devs just don't care about the atrocious clipping in general. I'm absolutely sick of all of the chestpieces with collars and hoods on the back personally, it's no wonder the majority of hairstyles we get are the same generic short haired look and even half of those still somehow manage to clip.

Ideally they'd design gear with tailed races in mind, but clipping is preferable to removing tails or ears. I hate when they decide to do that. It's one of the reasons I play the race I play.

When people ask "Why play a boring human in a fantasy game" this is why. That and the whole Hrothgar thing.

Said it once, I'll say it again. If you're not willing to accommodate bestial races in armor, then don't even bother in the first place. You set yourself up for failure every time.
Sit at the drawing board, make a race, and then seriously ask yourself "Do I see myself making armor that fits this race for every single piece of armor that will ever be put into this game?" if the answer is no, then don't bother adding that race. Do it right or not at all.
