This is a point a lot of people ignore. Trusts aren't easy mode. If you don't get the mechanic and die, you don't get a carry from them like you could with randoms. You keep trying until you get it.I agree, I think the new content is going to be good and helpful for someone who doesn't want to risk getting yelled at by strangers. Shyness can be very difficult to overcome.
However, the NPCs are always going to be weaker than real players, and that's the trade offs. If anything, it means that the person is going to have to do better in some respects, since dying with a Trust means you start the fight over. If you screw up and die, you can't get carried - you have to start over until eventually you learn to do it right.

Well, perhaps people "acting all weird and nice" to you may have to do with the extreme anger they face in your replies. Civil discourse is paramount and when one gets the overly angry responses fired at them such as I have from you, one attempts to calm things down. I don't know why you respond with so much hatred, but I assure you I am not the enemy. I have attempted to talk nice in hope that you will relax. Anyway, please mind your blood pressure. It is the leading cause of strokes today. Peace =o)Okay?
You always could.
You're being extremely ridiculous too, you don't need to be some no-life weirdo as you're implying to clear the content in this game.
The problem people are having with the changes are that the game is being dumbed down to cater to people who don't actually matter in regards to playing properly.
Why does it matter if you don't want to bother to learn the Job mechanics and your rotation etc?
You can still do the MSQ regardless.
Why should players who do care and do want more of a challenge have what they enjoy removed just so that you can do the same numbers with less effort?
I dunno what else you're getting at with this thread especially with the discussions going on and how you're talking about it.
What does this have to do with MMO's?
The majority of people don't play MMO's this has nothing to do with the people who do and the playerbase of FFXIV.
Edit: and yes I did read your comment, it's kinda bizarre seeing you acting all nice after having read it because you were being extremely antagonistic and judgemental in your OP.
I guess we're not playing an MMORPG anymore. I've been lied to all this time!As the majority of players enjoy playing their class solo, the content should reflect the base. Grouping in dungeons is fine, but for the average player the content should be soloable.
Overly complicated and ridiculous mechanics only appease the masochistic players who never leave their keyboard. This group accounts for a very small percentage. If these people want bragging rights, maybe they should study to become scientists and develop new treatments for cancer. Having a game so difficult that only those who never leave the confines of their room solves nothing.
That's why I am happy they have taken a route that is solo friendly as well as has ridiculous challenges for those few that want it.
Video games are for fun. They are not for polishing one's epeen in town showing off what nobody else can get without quitting their jobs, family, life to get.
I'm afraid that might be some of my "refugee" cousins. When I first started playing FF14 a few months ago right before the so called mass exodus (i saw the writing on the wall lol), I came to the FF14 forums and found a breath of fresh air. What an incredible community. . I thoughtBut since then the atmosphere seems different. In game I have made many friends and already had a ton a fun and look forward to a whole lot more
. As for my "refugee cousins" if you dont like it here take it back to SW and Org.
There isn't a problem, it's good, people just flipping tables for no reason like it's the death of MP or something. As if running Satasha with a bunch of level 90s is somehow a good learning and social experience for new players. All the side content is still MP only as far as I can tell. Mostly MSQ mandatory stuff is getting this added. (Correct me if I'm wrong) Additionally it's optional which others have already brought up. Also we have had trusts since Shadowbringers, so if it was a problem it would already be one. Also in a world with skip potions, this is what draws peoples ire for people not playing well? /facepalm
Me: "Hi"
Group : crickets, runs off like bots
Me watching cs
"The field has been locked"
/victory fanfare.
Me: thanks for group!
Group: "watch the cs at the inn" /leaves
What a wonderful social and learning experience I had, the boss was dead before I got to participate and no one said anything except to give me crap for watching a cs. Great times. /eyeroll - Least the ai will actually teach mechanics because they will actually do the mechanics for some of these older dungeons lol
I'm firmly in the "It's about time this was added" camp. Also a god send for all those people with kids , when a dirty diaper happens, good luck explaining that to your group without being flamed in the tales from DF thread or something, god forbid you take care of responsibilities as they arise and didn't chart out your time with that little bundle of pure chaos before joining, should have gave it a firm look like "you wait to poop son, Sephirothx32535987x is a VIP"
All this is joking... kinda...

I have so many friends I call family on my server that every day is a pleasure to login. It is night and day from "Barrens chat" in there. Unfortunately the forums seem to be the same vitriol no matter what game is involved.I'm afraid that might be some of my "refugee" cousins.
