Five wards for personal housing on OCE?

Why make it sound like this is specifically an OCE thing? It's the same across the board.

Because OCE doesn't have any of the prior wards everyone else has that are open to personal housing also. It's another long wait for them and there are anxious players trying to set up the population base there which is...being very tested right now.

As far as I understand it. The other four housing areas will also open on Materia, under the same terms as Ishgard. So it's 6 wards and their extension in five housing areas per world. So 1800 personal plots per world.

I think Island Sanctuary might become future personal housing so they gave more current homes to FCs

Not just oceanic servers. Im crushed was waiting for ishgard hoping to get a small house just to have that hope crushed seeing that post.

so, gave up house and moved to OCE expecting to be able to repurchase after the wait ... told there would be more wards, not less, less populated server etc - only to find personals are reduced to 5 wards only? and we can just bid and pray on those few? Meanwhile, at least half of the housing will sit waiting for FCs that don't exist?

Because OCE in general is having all housing released at once.

The main server has around 100 active 'legitimate' FC's that can buy houses.

There is absolutely no need for 18 wards of FC housing for us on release.

I've been reliably informed by multiple doomsayers that OCE servers are dead, so surely this is not going to be a problem anyway!

Seriously though, I do agree that the current split does seem a bit of overkill.
