New hrothgar hairstyles are really bad.

And if they want to ensure ears to appear again when using existing hairstyles they might have to rethink and restructure the specification, and the price you'll have is that the implementation of different Hrothgar will be a lot slower and limited in numbers, instead of adding a high amount of them patch by patch

YoshiP has been saying that they get a LOT of voices that they want the ears to retain, that's possible but it'll take time to address this (reviewing the specifications and what not), it's not that they won't nor can't, but the difficulty will require them to look through things before proceeding.

This makes me happy again, but then that begs the question: if it were possible, why didn't they just start there in the first place? :T

Did they honestly believe that removing a racial feature from a race to receive bad hairstyles was really going to tie people over? They've been promising updates for 3 years and they didn't bother to even begin down this route? Instead they just opted to chop off our ears and (try to) call it a day? I would have much preferred this update to hrothgars being delayed a little longer if it meant getting a PROPER implementation of being able to use other hairstyles...not this dribble we were given...

Majorly disappointed. Granted, we know that the dev time was used to help bring our male bun boys into existence because yoshi has spoken about how much man power is required to bring in an entirely new "race", but I mean....blegh. It seems it would be at the ..... cost of F. Hrothgar taking a while (?). The wording is a bit weird there with the "will be a lot slower and limited in numbers". But if that last bit is true about F. Hrothgar, literally no one would have wanted them implemented with no ears if they decided to keep M. Hrothgar that way. People want F. Hrothgar done right and the best way to make sure they're done right is to make sure M. Hrothgar are done right first so the team doesn't have to think too hard on how to fix both of them simultaneously :/. Also, to be quite fair, literally no one expects F. Hrothgar to be implemented at any point in 6.X. The community is fully expecting a 7.0 release of them. So, they have time to get this right...

They just need to work the path of designing unique hairstyles for Hroth & Viera *if* adding existing hairstyles removes(hides?) their ears then just don't add them until there is a solution & focus on making unique hairs that will fit them AND look good.
It may take more time to create unique hairs but the end result will be very much worth the wait. Those 2-3 years should have been not adding existing hairs but adding unique hairs to Viera & Hroth.
(I keep pressing for unique Hrothgar AND Viera hairstyles bc the current Viera hairs that have been added also don't look great. It's not as laughable as M. Hroth but there are hairs they could add inspired from Viera artwork & FFXII to XIV Viera. Adding existing hairs to Viera imo diminishes their semi-beastial uniqueness)
