New hrothgar hairstyles are really bad.

I fail to see how bringing in a gender counterpart is showing preferential treatment. Did I actually get anything from male Viera being implemented? I can't wear them as a hairstyle, nor as headgear, so... Can you elaborate your thought process please? I'm confused.

I did not ask, neither did I want male Viera implemented, at least not until female Viera and male Hrothgar were fixed and up to date with the other races.

I wonder if they chose the worst possible hairstyles to implement, along with the ear mutilation, so they can tell their masters "Nobody is using these "new" (heh) hairstyles, so there's no point in giving new customization options for this race in the future. It's a waste of money!"

It's my understanding they've fixed the issue of having to use a Fantasia to change styles. That's a big step forward. Seems to me they now need to move to fix the hair/ear issue and to move forward with more custom beast race style hairs for Hroths. I think the big problem is that people cried so loud they wanted to uses Mogstation and Reward hairs that the went this route. This is working fine for Viera although I wouldn't say not to more exclusive race specific hairstyles as well. After all we can't use hats and some additional love would be appreciated.

Yeah, Male Viera got in first because ... Male Viera whiners are the ONLY reason we're getting both Male Viera and Female Hrothgar. Shockingly, the loudest wheel got the grease, seeing as everyone assumed bunny bois would be their male body type fetish and female Hrothgar would just be furry "dudes with boobs" but supported them mostly outta fairness.

I preemptively bought a Fantasia back when they were on sale in preparation for the new hairstyles, but I guess I don't need it now. Guess I'll squirrel it away for the future in case they ever add the extra face options. It's nice that's I'll be able to call Jandelaine to actually style my hair and not just mess with fur patterns, but I'm gonna need my ears back before I start fully trusting again.

And if they want to ensure ears to appear again when using existing hairstyles they might have to rethink and restructure the specification, and the price you'll have is that the implementation of different Hrothgar will be a lot slower and limited in numbers, instead of adding a high amount of them patch by patch

YoshiP has been saying that they get a LOT of voices that they want the ears to retain, that's possible but it'll take time to address this (reviewing the specifications and what not), it's not that they won't nor can't, but the difficulty will require them to look through things before proceeding.

I am surprised that they didn't expect this reaction. The ears are an important race feature for hroths. It's the same as removing miqo'te or viera ears on new hairstyles, it's unacceptable.
