Feel like they might break down and allow cross region visit later on, likely they just want to see the effects of the base version 1st, they could tighten the restrictions more for cross region if need be, no market, maybe no solo df and only pf groups, who knows...

They need to open up DC travel for OCE 5 servers isn't enough to support the gameplay. 24 man content is extremely hard to get parties for.

DC travel won't necessarily do much. Consider that many players left for OCE because they live in that region and had really poor ping over the all the transocean cables. What is DC travel going to do for those players? Imagine if they could travel to another DC just to do DF or PF. They'd be back where they started - poor ping.

I feel players should do their part. They invested heavily in that because they thought players wanted it. Now that it’s a reality players are deciding maybe I don’t want that after all.

From the developers perspective and after reading this thread title I wouldn’t care about this player base anymore. If that’s how they feel it was a mistake to listen to them. Not worth going though all the work of investing big money on new servers and carefully setting them up for you all.

The data center was put in for you. It’s up to the players to make it come alive and work. If not, it wasn’t square or the game that failed you. It was you that failed yourselves.

Most game developers aren't going to pay too much attention to the vocal outliers in forums when they've got real data at their fingertips telling them what is actually going on.

Sorry but I had server queues on Friday night and there were around 20 PXSavage groups in the duty finder. No roulette is longer than 10 minutes even for DPS and most are 4-5 mins even at like 2am on a weeknight (and are insta pop for tanks and healers).

You'll have to pardon me if I take population complaints with a grain of salt.

I had a blast on Friday night! Healer queues are less than 5 minutes and I was surprise MSQ trials and dungeons took 10 minutes at most

Its true really. I doubt a successful company like SE will invest millions in infrastructure willy nilly. The board would never approve such reckless spending xD I'm guilty of whining because I have time to play on a school day evening doesnt mean every ff14 player had to x

wasnt it obvious that a completely new data centre would need some time to get a decent amount of players? new players dont just appear out of nowhere on day 1... and other players have their home on the old datacentre. of course not all of them gonna go to the new one.
