I can argue toxic femininity is a thing as well, but i’m curious why this thread is solely focused on bringing down masculinity, and again, it honestly has very little to do with your post in particular, yours is just what brought my eye to it lol. But i see countless posts in here of people trying to like, raise your femininity(which is fine) but do so by bringing down masculinity and bringing in all of these stereotypes that are pretty sparse in my experience. I’ve seen plenty of masculine people who play this game and kind of fit the wow mentality stereotype people bring up(like Xenosys for example), just as i’ve seen feminine people play lost ark or WoW.

If i’m being technical, you can buy in game power, it’s just against the rules here lol, but still very rampant sadly. But job boosts do technically equal buying power, as i believe it even gets you gear And Gil if i’m not mistaken. The crafted gear and pentamelding isn’t expensive to me either, but from what it seems to me a great portion of the playerbase is pretty poor. I’ve been in….many statics that it’s embarrassing and a lot of them were full of people with no more than 100k. That’s a bit off topic though but all i’m saying is i don’t really see a reason to try and compare the 3 games in a thread focused around femininity xD at least in terms of their cash shop or what have you. All three offer different things and have their own problems, that’s becoming very evident especially with 14.

In the end TLDR i guess: You can promote femininity as much as you want and if people bring you down for that ignore em. But don’t do so at the expense of bringing down masculinity or trying to bash it or hate on it. I’ve seen countless threads like this and it just comes off as really….hypocritical? In a way.I think a lot of people in here that label themselves as feminine have shown their insecurity as well lol.

I don't disagree that toxic femininty is a thing too, usually it tends to be expressed in more covert ways through emotional manipulation.
Like crying to get what you want or doing something bad then intentionally presenting yourself to be a victim because you know people are more prone to view women as victims.
I think you see this more on sites like Twitter tho than ingame.

But I think this thread has more to do with being insecure about your masculinity and afraid of being perceived as feminine or like you have to tear it down/ gatekeep it out of games.
When it comes to gaming I definitely think that the toxic side of masculinity is more present for quite obvious reasons.
I'd probably say when it comes to devs tho I think it's the opposite, I see significantly more trashy and stereotypical '' girl drama '' nowadays amongst game devs and journalists it sometimes feels like they're still in high school tearing each other down through gossip and drama.
Probably has a lot to do with Twitter too tho.

It's not about promoting femininity or tearing down masculinity I think you're being a bit overly defensive here for no reason.
If anything I am trying to elevate masculinity by saying that you're not actually being masculine or at least not in a positive way for behaving poorly or being insecure and trying to gatekeep and turn gaming into a boys club.
If someones value in regards to masculinity essentially begins and ends when it comes to what race they play in a video game and how they dress it up then I think it kinda speaks volume for how weak it is and I don't think it's healthy.

In regards to Xenosys I do think he does the whole dudebro thing I think that's more of a persona tho.
I think it's hard to judge a Streamer fully like that especially when he very clearly puts on an act, he's trying to entertain people.
