New hrothgar hairstyles are really bad.

Who wants to wear the 2B Colgate Commercial? The Karen Hairstyle? The 2B Hair. If the feedback from their fans is so important, why not use that feedback and add hairstyles that people actually want. Rather than porting hairstyles that don't fit the race at all.

sure, but there is a lot of misinformation and bad faith arguments rolling around, and the anger that comes if you think you'll have to still pay to change to the new styles and they're still earless. You won't need to pay a single thing, you won't lose your eaers if that's important to you, you will have more racial hairstyles to choose from... I know the frustration is building up, but there is no need to blow up (unless you're really keen on using the unlockable hairstyles with ears).

Sorry but the bad faith is warranted after 3+ years and getting this for our patience. Especially Hrothgars, which the fact the majority of the community only realized we needed a fantasia to change shows how little information about Hrothgar was circulating to begin with. You know, in comparison to how much people clamoured like crazy over Male Viera. Nothing against Male Viera being included, nor the players who play them themselves, all the power to them. But their inclusion is being used as an excuse to delay fixes to the stuff that's already there in the game, and worse, exacerbating the problem by making more and more unfinished races. Bad faith has been fomented over 3 years, with low-effort results. You may settle for little, but it doesn't mean others should. People are upset and people are frustrated, and they're in their right to feel so after being patient and after years of "it's coming don't worry" only to be met with disappointment.

No one wanted to blow up, Starshower. No one wanted to start bashing on the dev team. And I keep harping on this, but we do remember what they did for us, we did have good faith in them. And that good faith was just as much deserved. But for some of us it's been years of disappointment, and we just don't want this to escalate or exacerbate. We're already treated pretty poorly, both with in-game lore and content, as well as from members of the community. Just because we're different. As if being a furry was necessarily a bad thing anyway, there are far worse communities. Hrothgar don't need to be the laughing stock on top of it.

The truth is that it is indeed still too vague about Jandelaine working with us. But given all the rest, expectations are so low they've drilled a hole to China. And that's justified. We are losing our ears, we are going to have to deal with hairstyles that don't fit us. And it's very likely we'll need to pay if we still want to change.

And that's what people are upset about. Because we don't want a future update to be as blindly made and poorly received as this one. We want one that has structure, shows they listened to feedback and have them be far less dismissive than "show them a horrible image printed on a paper as you chuckle and look aside".

Why should we be happy when this doesn't fit us? You argued about misinformation, but where are you seeing that we're getting anything we asked for after 3 years in just 4 days? Holy hell the amount of Hopium you're on is so potent it could one-shot a buffalo...

SE doesn't care, they haven't shown that they've listened at all for 3 years, nor are they even addressing this when Hrothgar players are outraged hard over this! Yeah, you may be happy. Please understand, the hair selected are already in the game so it's a lot easier to implement. What do you want them to do, create new hair styles that don't *stares at the awkward tail clip through that dress* clip or clip in a way that doesn't look bad? Do you need them to show you the 2b picture again? That said, stuff like this is why i'm entertaining the thought of jumping to another MMO for a while and taking a break. How bad is ESO now a days? I thought about Lost Ark but the f2p model sounds worse than the b2p model that ESO has. At the very least I will more than likely pay the extra 15 burger bux to get their Plus model for a bit if I like the game.

What I've been waiting for all this time isn't access to the other racial hairstyles though. We should have had that from the start.

We've been waiting for hrothgar hair. HROTHGAR hair. Not Hyur hair, not Viera Hair. Not Miqo'te Hair. Hrothgar Hair. We've been waiting for a sign that the developers actually care about hrothgar. And this is just the last straw. I don't have an issue with them porting hair styles over from Hyur. They do what they want. But the least they could do is actually like... Look at the crappy picture they got of it and think for a second 'Would the fans want this?'. But damn

They clearly bloody didnt. Why should we be happy about a slap to the face for getting our hopes up. YOU may be happy. But that does not mean that we are happy. Standards are not being met. At all. Square enix dropped the ball here. They dropped it through the floor.

I said it before and I'll say again, sometimes something is not better than nothing. These "options" were poorly made and implemented and people can see that and you cannot tell me other people won't look at that and think lesser in some way. Someone will look at these new "options" and in some way look down upon it. "Wow...that looks terrible. So glad I don't play a Hrothgar." They spent years asking for the players understanding and after all that what they deliver is something lackluster. You can tell how bad a look that must be. It really says something that so many people who knew no better looked at it and immediately thought it was an April Fools' joke. As for the racial hairs? They really have no excuse for having taken this long to make them available regardless.
