I would still see it as a useless addition if the only new styles added are sideburn variations that already exist and hairstyles that remove ears. The absolute bare minimum would be letting people change their racial hairstyle in game for free, ears included.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I think that the new hairstyles look absolutely horrible because of that very reason and yes, if the racial hairstyles aren't part of the new hairstyle section, we can and should go back to complaining about it.

It does say "male Viera will be available" vs. "these changes will be available", changing to the opposite gender has always been behind a Fantasia but Hrothgar's situation is completely unique to them so it's hard to tell.

It just seems like they couldn't be bothered to change the wording, copy-pasted it and exchanged the first two words lol. Because why make it unambiguous if you can go for confusing instead?

It does say "male Viera will be available" vs. "these changes will be available", changing to the opposite gender has always been behind a Fantasia but Hrothgar's situation is completely unique to them so it's hard to tell.

I really hope that's the case though and they didn't just mess up the wording with Hairstyle section just meaning Face. Adding new hairstyles only to keep them locked behind Fantasia after all this time would really be punching down, I don't think anyone wants to pay to have their ears removed.

I'm not sure why they didn't readjust the wording, taking into account Hrothgar's situation... But it's given me hope that they have fixed the issue.
