New hrothgar hairstyles are really bad.

I really do believe they're aware of the feedback, everyone's talking about it - the positive feedback in regards to Hrothgar hair are almost non-existent.
It could be a matter of it's too late to change anything before launch, but it doesn't mean we're stuck with the current results, it could still be subject to change further down the line... At least I hope so. In future, I think they should present these things to the public in more advance, because they could have had more time to change it depending on how the community reacted. The most we can do right now is just wait for them to address the situation, and hopefully they can be more thorough on why this change was required.

That is the main reason why i never made a Hrothgar alt. If i have to use a Phantasia Phial to change the hair style then ... catgirls are also nice and cute.

I think the only solution is for SE to gift Hrothgar players a fantasia so we can abandon this failed attempt at making a beast race. Trust is broken at this point, they will never solve this problem they're just not willing to.

You're right, I suppose time would have been an issue, or at least enough of an issue that they rather go for publishing it anyway so people don't say SE would "break their promises" than delaying the release of hairstyles again. And sure, they can still make changes later. It just makes me wonder if they would bother and not release more ear-less styles in the future because it is easier to make those than actually fix the problem with the ears. But the only people who can answer this are saying nothing, so.. Maybe they'll address it in the patch notes reading at least a little bit. I don't know if those will be translated and how much there is actually said in these events, I don't speak Japanese, but who knows.

Yes, that Fantasia-line was... Well, at least it might make more non-Hrothgar players aware that this is an issue at all. I don't think it occurs to other players that this is not just "Hrothgar players whining about a lack of styles", but that we actually have to spend real life money for more than adjustments of our fur patterns and colour.

Could go either way though.. either means there's a hairstyle section now that lets Hrothgar change hair stuff at the aesthethican. Or its just the category that is only available when using fantasia. And they robbed us of the option to do these small adjustments (like side bangs) that were facial features before and only let us change them with fantasia as well.

Really hope its not the latter.

Yeah I wouldn't necessarily get my hopes up either, they mention a hairstyle section and it being available when using Fantasia.

It could even be read as Hrothgar having access to these styles without needing the Modern Aesthetics item to unlock it.

- said hairstyles are immediately unlocked for everyone but still directly tied to CC and Fantasia

I mean, there is zero reason to not include the aesthetician in the very first sentence otherwise. Now it's obviously possible that they simply derped with the wording but given their track record regarding this issue... I'm not particularly optimistic.

A quick and dirty solution to the fantasia problem would be to just let everyone change their face and skin/fur color at the aesthetician. I think it's kinda gross that anyone has to pay real money for adjustments smaller than race changes, but it's especially gross for hrothgar.
