The ENG forums are pretty much a mod-forsaken place, I liked the thought of carrying over our ideas/hearing their opinions and brainstorm, because a lot of people in the ENG forum have amazing suggestions that I want the developers to see

I don't know but I feel like the Japanese translation from Google Translate mostly using rude terms and probably some people there took it as offensive gesture?

Edit to add: checking the order that hairstyles are listed, first you have the FFXIII Pulse style mixed in among the semi-race-specific styles, then the first two fully shared styles: one being the style we got already, the other one shown in 6.1 gear previews. (The exact order of the two styles varies by race.) The ponytail is a bit further down the list, but seems to be the second unlockable hairstyle after Pulse.

At the other end of the list, the NieR hairstyles are most recent, though there are two others between them and the Controlled Chaos style. Still, perhaps they are coming later.

Overall it definitely looks like they're being done in a sequence regardless of whether the specific style is a good one for the new races or not.

I think I get what you're saying now. I have a feeling we'll have a better grasp on things with 6.1 as I feel like Viera are getting more than 1 old hair unlocked (And a major "test" should be coming up. 6.1 is about the point where I'd expect them to release a new Hairstyle for reg races as they have released a new hair in 3.1/4.1/5.1. Would like to see if Viera are on-track to get new hairs released in the game even if they don't have all the old ones yet or if they're just going to play prema-catch up for the race.)

Each new one added is another new hairstyle to retouch up for then. However, by giving them older ones that will be updated regardless of race, it may lessen the workload.

I guess, they have already high-res textures for the hair styles. It is a common approach, that the game designers create textures with a high resolution and then scale them down. Because it is much less work. But i also read, that they do not have high-res version of the textures and have to recreate them.

So... it's been a few days. No reaction to this on Twitter, nothing at the Lodestone, nothing in the forum (that I am aware of. Should there be any comment from a mod or a dev, I'd appreciate a link). Guess it is safe to say that it is not a prank, I know a few people were still hoping it would be. If they stay silent because they read the feedback and are now trying to fix things, so they can present us something better before making promises in statements, or if they just don't care... that's hard to tell. For me, personally, I can only say that it certainly feels like they are ignoring us. Due to time, due to the feedback being unexpected, due to a lack of resources, due to a lack of interest... I can only speculate and I don't want to spread any unfounded rumours while doing so. I just wish they would say something, anything, even if it is straight up stating "nope, we don't care" or "well you got your hairstyles now, we kept our promise, don't complain", still better than silence.

All I can do now is hope that one day Hrothgar and their players stop being an annoying afterthought and get at least the option to change the existing hairstyles more freely without Fantasia. But I don't want to spend more energy for hoping that this will happen in the forseeable future, let alone that we will get customization options that are more than wigs and let us keep the ears. I am too tired and disappointed to keep believing.

I'd like to encourage everyone to go and support this thread A simple 'like' would be enough to show that we aspire for higher standards when it comes to Hrothgar players.

It‘s kind of frustrating that the English Forum needs to heavily rely on the Japanese Forum because we feel like our concerns don‘t get addressed as much…

I can give you a good example: The Female Hrothgar thread is 284 pages long (and about 2834 comments) and the mods have not addressed anything, not even a pop in to say "Yeah, we are seeing you and taking your thoughts into consideration!".
All while on a JP thread with less than 50 pages the mods went right in to reassure the players and say that their feedback is taken into account.
That is a bit why is baffling that the people would be upset for us going there, cause they don't hear/they are ignoring us here. So it is natural that we would at least try to get heard.
Now I agree that going there without knowing the language and using google translate more than once could be seen by them as annoying. (a simple like on the original post should do the job IMO.)
But I had this feeling for a long time that the fans that matter for them are the JP fans and we are an easy cash grab. Don't want to feel this way, but Hrothgar is more popular here than there, do you think they would have done the same half assed job to a Lalafell?
