New hrothgar hairstyles are really bad.

I am just questioning what people were exactly expecting? Granted, they somehow came out with something that looks worse than even I could have expected.. Anyway, this is what I, and many others have been talking about for years. Why do you think I am so vehemently opposed to them cutting off racial features? When you accept things like this, this is what you will continue to see.

So for six months of research, their excuses got upgraded from 1.0 to 3.0. But, I mean, that's fair - an excuse any more recent wouldn't be free to play.

...It feels bad when the devs neglect you for so long only to give you a half-assed rush job they probably worked on the night before...

Ah yes, this was the feeling I had I couldn't put my finger on. Thank you for voicing it. it is 100% the "Night Before".

either the result of the "artist" waking up very, very hungover after a night drinking a lot of Sake, looking at the calendar and seeing "Yoshida-san Live Letter, hair needs to be finished" and a mad screaming panic session in photoshop as the "Artist" gulped down a few dozen tylenols.

or

the "artist's" cat used the finished artwork as litter and the "artist" needed to make new, but was still drunk from all the sake of the night before, so had their 6 year old start up MS-Paint and slide some masked hair layers onto our dear Lion-boys.

Yeah, a lot of players had their hopes pretty high. I set my expectations pretty low from the start, even with viera hairstyles (which I desperately want). I have pretty much given up on it at this point.

I guess, the new hairstyles for Hrothgar are a joke. Maybe they put them into the game but there will also be some other better hairstyles.

Imagine handing over a clearly half-assed work -- that doesn't even look good; to your superior.
And still be accepted or considered OK to be shown on a live broadcast.

I'm not a Hroth player, but man! I have no idea why they can't just do this correctly!? It doesn't seem like that difficult of a job. I believe 3rd Party Creators have better results than the official team! And those are just fans doing it in their spare time!

Speakers Network spoke up and mocked SE and the Hroth hairstyles. It was only 5 min in their podcast but its more than what most ffxiv-tubers gave on criticising the "effort". They plastered 2B Hroth faces all over the thumbnail too lol

Not gonna link but just type the bold name on YT and go to 1:15:00 in their video. It's a funny yet sad 5 minutes x3

Saw it as it went live, and even left a comment. I am so glad to hear someone just say it as it is! Those hairstyles are trash, they are not flattering! And one of them even made a great point in their video that I didn't hear anyone point out. They don't look like naturally grown hair, that is not how it would sit on their heads. Even if it was made as more of a joke it pretty much encompasses the problem with these hairstyles in this context. Say what you want about the other races, but when they are wearing these specific hairstyles they look like they have brushed their own hair in that style, but on Hrothgar, it doesn't look good or natural, it looks like they have taken the hair models from the Hyurs and glued them on the Hrothgar's head.

Its good to see people are in outrage over this and aren't all like "are you aware there is a global pandemic going on atm? They have to cut corners(ears) somewhere!" anymore

Production of these races are insanely slow, I don't fancy Hrothgar waiting an extra 6 months just to get ears on their hair. I don't know about anyone else, but I want SE to SHOW us their work of porting hair to the limited races - Why does it require so much time? What were they discussing in those meetings they kept mentioning for the past 3 years in regards to these races?

They should allow the hats/hair and clothing mods. I admit, I ended up looking on Twitter for photos (You dont have to look far) and so much of their work is so detailed and astounding. (Disclaimer: Don't do mods, still against TOS)
