I likely know how the job plays far better than you. Your notion of paying attention is weak. The management of Kenki is an illusion, and the removal of Kaiten will merely change how to go about “managing” Kenki.

The ability is an extra weave for one weapon skill. It’s an outright requirement and everything about Samurai’s resource generation makes it so easy to “manage” that it’s pointless for the skill to even exist.

Then provide a better solution as to why Kaiten should stay. How many times does this have to be explained. Kaiten is used for Iaj and Iaj alone. There is no decision for it 99.9% of the time. The ability to obtain or maintain the resources for it are also a non issue. They want to reduce bloat, and Kaiten is the easiest one to snip. You “feeling” like it is different doesn’t change that.

What bloat? You mean: Guren, Ogi Namikiri, Shoha II, and maybe even Meditate? Those are bloat.
And no, you need Kaiten for both Ogi Namikiri and Iaijutsu.

You know, character names is right beside their forum name. Do the thing, and you will know why their replies are like that. Very easy to see which kinds of players are so much onto kaiten being removed.

Reposting a short version of my main thread.

Instead of bickering about subjective measures such as aesthetics or depths of the skill, let's examine Kaiten with the scope of Action Bloat in mind using CPM as metric.

In 4.x, Samurai use Hagakure to eat Sen and spam more shinten, Kaiten is not action bloat
In 5.x, standard 1 min rotation uses 4 Kaiten per min, no compaints to Kaiten being action bloat.
In 6.0, Meikyo charge adds 1 extra Kaiten on opener, and Ogi 1 extra kaiten every 2 mins.

In ShB E12S P1, top 3 SAM had CPM of 47.6, 47.8, and 47.1
In EW P4S P2, top 3 SAM had CPM of 46.1, 45.3, and 46.1

Top P4S P2 log had 33 cast of Kaiten on 6:43 kill, that's 4.9 CPM. That's equivalent to 660 Kenki or 26.4 Shiten Casts, which is 3.93 CPM. It is barely a change, and EW SAM already has lower CPM than ShB SAM, the action bloat arugment does not stand.

No Action Bloat = No need to remove Kaiten.

Yeah I'mma stop reading the old posts... this is the, well I lost count on which " Don't remove Kaiten " post this is, I am just getting angry that there this many old posts... on not removing Kaiten and it's all ignored.

Now were all posting about wanting Kaiten back, having to explain why it had so much value, why so many Samurai's are angry about the change and it's just... its just like... where do I start I don't understand the dev's I really don't get why they did this. Even if they remove it, replace it at least but it's not even replaced! inexcusable.

I can tell you for an absolute fact that you don't know how to play the game. But that's not an issue, not everyone is supposed to be amazing, just keep the ego down, would you?
