There's no such thing as FOMO and I'm tired of reading that word.Or they could just keep designing new content that doesn't go away for no reason. It's almost like we can both get what we want no problem at all. That's the whole point of this thread. Both complaints are valid, and the solution is stupidly obvious. You can't blame FOMO for lack of new content, it's a simple easy button they can press to keep people engaged for a short while. I'm sure this is on purpose in some cases to shore up a content drought with something, anything. Again I will repeat it, both are bad. Your solution only serves to perpetuate another problem.
You should try acquiring empathy for the feelings of many thousands of players that fear missing out on something they PAY for in a videogame. Imagine thinking you can just say that someone's experience and feelings are so invalid they doesn't even exist. To put it bluntly anything less than what we've paid for is an insult to you, me, and anyone that comes to this game in the future.

You "pay" to get access to the game feature, it doesn't mean you automatically guarantee with an item.
Entitlement is not something worthy for empathy, please stop abuse this word.
Empathy isn't real. Its just a form of narcissism. You should try acquiring empathy for the feelings of many thousands of players that fear missing out on something they PAY for in a videogame. The thing about an MMO is it's more "alive" than an offline game is. You're going to miss out on things as time advances, and that's just the nature of these games. You should try acquiring empathy for the feelings of many thousands of players that fear missing out on something they PAY for in a videogame. In fact, the idea that 'everyone should be able to get everything' is absolutely crazy to me. Everything would be dull and unchanging in that regards.

Might as well remove content while we're at it and call it Cataclysm. The thing about an MMO is it's more "alive" than an offline game is. You're going to miss out on things as time advances, and that's just the nature of these games.
