The funny thing is, I was originally just making a joke about how the fans get mad no matter what they do, and you're getting mad about it.

I've made my opinion clear, here and in other threads, that I agree the whole situation with both races is terrible, especially for Hrothgar. I'm not gonna bother trying to explain the joke anymore, because if you're this determined to just get mad about everything and assume everything is against you all the time, I don't have the interest or energy to keep up with it. The devs ruining a whole race and role isn’t a little thing.I understand you agree the situation is terrible but there’s no reason to even bring up the community getting mad at every little thing when there were numerous ways they could have prevented this. Even if it only would’ve helped a little, no one could say they didn’t try at least. It’s not really a joke when it’s something you’ve expressed numerous times in multiple threads, it’s clearly something you think is actually true. This whole thread is just people wanting to see others suffer and watch drama, just ignore it. Reivaxe again parroted that ludicrous notion that all people asked for Femgars were buff women, when anyone who's been paying attention the past years and is actively in Hrothgar circles knows that there's an artist (I mentioned them before in this thread, it's a Korean artist on twitter) that's done fanart of femgars with a design they agree on. And that doesn't just go for Hrothgar players, even players with zero interest in directly playing a Hrothgar.

We complain because we have a reason to complain. Just as much if something happened to them, I'd guarantee you they'd be the first to come litter the OF's with a billion posts about the same thing.

If people can't understand that not only have Hrothgar players been patient, haven't had much asked for them other than hair fixes, the Fantasia limitation lifted and some more headgear for three years, that's on them. If they can't understand that unlike Viera, we've had no message directed toward us nor any content for almost four years other than Bozja, a tone-shifted side-story with nothing but pain and misery where Hrothgar are visibly tortured and murdered, then it's on them. And if they can't understand that the first thing we get after YEARS of NOTHING is this, then it's definitely on them.

Welcome to the internet, I guess. People be cruel, and FFXIV players can indeed be toxic. And when it comes to races, there's A LOT of toxicity going around. And for what? No one is superior in their own race, that's literally what we're told in-game anyway.

We're not whining out of nothing. We never whined thus far, we only asked to be treated the same way everyone was. We weren't the ones plastering the same messages on Square Enix streams since Heavensward. Hopefuly you at least understand that if you're bothered that people are complaining rightfuly, you can just switch to another thread.

Honestly, as i have already mentioned to a lot of my friends, i need to wait and see.
There are a lot more issues to this then just the hairstyles themselves, but -what- those hairstyles are. They wanted to include stuff that is in the game and is somewhat easily accessible to playerbase? Cool, include all of it. What's that? "That isnt the case"? Well, why? No reply.
What's that? "We gotta milk them for cash shop money too"? Alright, then add all of the cash shop hairstyles, there arent that many. What's that? "We cannot be arsed to do even that"? Well, then give hrothgar players discounts or give players an option to buy your set items, well, separately, so that players have a choice to not pay full price for a set in which there are items they cannot use.
No matter how you look at this, this is half assed. And, of course, you can just say "oh but muh vieurra" to which i can just point out, that, comunity whined out, literally, an entire gender for viera. They never planned to make it, they never wanted to add them. The lot moaned out about it enough, and it happened. Never forget that. So why should hroth players stay quiet about this shite? Why cant they have good things happen to them for one time in LITERAL YEARS?

A modder managed to do all of it for viera and hroths in less then a month. They had three-fucking-years. There is no excuse.


P.S Also, reading the thread, why is it always a female miqo'te that have the worst takes on any situation possible that isnt directly related to them? Might as well lock them in a concrete box at this point, they'd be better conversation material then.

i expect it too tbh. they've been immensely lazy regarding Hrothgar so far, i don't see why that'd change with Femgars.....

It's an awful feeling having to just accept that something is gonna be 'ehh' when you're excited for it. Hroths feel like the red-headed stepchildren of XIV, I just can't 100% think that they'll knock it out of the park after everything so far.

My bar for femHroths were set very high after the reveal of maleViis.

After having seen the new hair styles that bar has been immensely lowered to steel my expectations.
All I want is an awesome looking female beast woman since I am never going to get to play a Burmecian from FF9.

She needs to have a muzzle, a tail and actually LOOK like the panthers and lions and tigers her male counter parts do.

I do not want a FFXIV Mithra. We have them. They're miqo'te. I want a strong looking bipedal cat humanoid that looks as good as male and female viera and the male hrothgar.

That really shouldn't be too much to ask for. They should have dropped back in Shb.

Guys, I found the concept art for Female Hrothgar, they seem to be modelled in such a way as to be compatible with all hairstyles!




As a future Female Hrothgar player, I really hope they will do good for us, but with what I have seen... the bar has been set so low it's underground.
