What does that even mean? Is Russia false flagging the letter Z?!

When a group adopts a symbol they want it to be theirs and only theirs. They want it to stand for them or some aspect of what they do. They want you to think of them when you see that symbol. Some go so far as want other people to be afraid to use it for anything else but to represent them. When those who commonly use the symbol give up using it and agree it now belongs to that group, the people give up a part of their culture and their everyday life so that group can have an ideological safe space. That group now owns a small territory in everyone's mind. The common symbol that was part of everyday life becomes a symbol of that group alone.

It's tragic and real people in Ukraine needs help i can't doubt it. It's just getting tiresome that every single new world event should remove letters from the alphabet to be used in any way, what's next ? If another army uses the letter X on their tanks, remove X, There are also Omicron robots in the game, remove their names ? If a bomb plane does a humming sound, ban humming sounds, plane sounds and emotes from video games ? What kind of world does that leave us in ? What if an asteroid or meteor hits some part of the world, just ban every meteor and asteroid simulation / vids talking about it on the internet ? At what point we are just removing the ability of people to express all the flavours and panels of the human condition by continuous streaks of censorship just to hide human suffering from our eyes and minds ?

Wait a minute... I know... Maybe we could also ban gen Z from the internet, for sure it could only make things better ! I'm on board now.

Z is just one of the several identifications in russian army... It's just that this symbol was just most prominent in the news. So people just hyped it up to be equal to entire russian army.

The letter Z isn't even part of the Russian alphabet, so what the op is asking for is to remove a squiggly line that looks a bit like a letter from a completely different language. If someone is so far past the "sticks and stones" principle and is actively calling for random shapes to be banned then I can safely say it's ok to ignore them.
