This looks so much better than what we'll have. I believe one of the faces the ears are a bit higher, but nothing that editing them a bit won't fix.
Anyway, I always felt that Hrothgar were a gift from the game to me (since I always wanted a furry race AND like to represent myself as lion) but this just feels... that the SqEx team doesn't really care.
First was the "We'll add hat/hair during the expansions" but nothing. Which was okay since we had a pandemic and stuff.
Then Mogstation Items that doesn't work with hats, then not all new gear/AF Gear working with Hroth/Viera. Male Viera first, and now this. Always the short end of the stick.
I would like to postpone Hrothgar Hairstyle to 6.2 or forward, if that meant to have ears even if they clip. This feels very... half-done.
I REALLY hope this is either april fools, or there is the ears that they're finalizing now. Or that they were testing hats alongside, and that's why no ears (but makes sense to have ears without the hat).
But even if there's words of concern, and that they'll look into it, the actions show that there's not much of priority on these. At least, that's what we feel as Hrothgar players.
And of course, this is a critic about a choice and the product. And would like to ask the team to review and do something else rather than this.
Multi-million dollar corporation don't get outdone by fans who know how to mod challenge.
(Fail immediately)
I wouldn't mind this so much if they hadn't removed the ears just so we'd get hairstyles to work. With hats being incompatible and now ears pose a problem. My expectations were low coming into this but I felt I needed to voice it.
It seems poor planning if Hroths weren't meant to take on new hairstyles, no? I'd rather they take their time to reevaluate Hroths altogether and just do it right. Overhaul the whole race's head/facial structure if they have to if it meant we got our hats/proper hairstyles with our ears working. I would not even mind waiting until 7.0's graphic overhaul to handle this if it meant we got a proper compatibility because I'd be concerned for female hroths coming over the horizon. They can do better than this.

tbh they've had who knows how many years to get it right, counting the time before hrothgars were even implemented. I know game dev can take a long time but christ, they should have something way better to show by now, especially when modders have made things work in far less time and with no budget at all. I'm seriously so confused what the problem is, i'm not even an expert or anything, very limited animation experience, and even I know how to put a hat on a model and make it stick. Wonder if it's just over-fear of things clipping (even though every race deals with clipping already)?I wouldn't mind this so much if they hadn't removed the ears just so we'd get hairstyles to work.
