VIERA AND HROTHGAR COMPLAINT MEGATHREAD

I’m replying to give these complaints more visibility, Hrothgar’s ears are part of the identity of the race. I would have been satisfied even if the 8 existing hairstyles were made available on every face but not having them on those new hairstyles is just wrong, pls listen to our feedback

I genuinely lost my **** seeing they just chopped off Hrothgar ears to fit other hairstyles on them. Like how can you be that tone-deaf to think that's A) what people want, and B ) would go over well at all?

Good gods, and I thought Viera of both genders had it bad. This does not give me hope for future Hrothgals, like, at all.

I must say that im deeply disappointed with the development team in charge of the hrothgars, I really expected much better from you but I guess this is what happens when you trust the development team that much.
It's embarrassing how a development team like yours get to that point.. I know it's not easy to take care of many things at the same time but please ...you could have done this much better also rare and few are the hats that work with the hrothgar and now that we were excited about new hairstyles you surprise us with this joke.. no one is happy with these new hairstyles but the worst of it was all about cutting off the ears , the miqo'te also have ears and they do not have any problems with haircuts or hats , so please do something about it, give love to Hrothgars alike and don't do things by halves.

I think Yoshi-P is fully aware of how we'd react to this and may be just as disappointed. You notice how in every picture of the hairstyles, he's either hiding his head or looking away unhappily? Considering how much he seems to value perfection (as shown from the EW delay because he tried to get it perfect), he's probably as unhappy as we are...and looking at the hairstyles on the heads, this was a no-win situation for him. Delay the hairstyles and face outrage, or release as is and face outrage. The only hair out of that bunch that can get away with the ears not showing is Snow's hair, and that's only because of the beanie.

This was the absolute WORST way to go about this. If they have no problem amputating hrothgars' ears, then one would think that hroth's could have their hats then, even if the ears aren't visible while wearing them? Even THAT would make more sense because at least then it'd be just the issue of not seeing the ears but they could very well still be present, but here? Nah, you literally cut off their ears!

I decided to make an account for the forums just to add my voice to the numbers of those who are disappointed with hairstyles and how they have removed hrothgar ears just to make them work. This is honestly just insulting to hrothgars, how we have to wait years for new hairstyles and not only are they honestly lackluster, they removed our ears. I understand that only 2% of the playerbase play hrothgar, but if Hrothgar had more options for hair and heck could even wear hats, maybe more people would play our race rather than just ignore it. It's really disappointing to wait so long for new hairstyles and then get... this. Please restore the hrothgar ears for these hairstyles and maybe even give us some hairstyles that look like they fit for hrothgar?

Do they even acknowledge the feedback here on the forums, even for a group like us who are such a minority?

So if they're going to just cut off the ears for these new hairstyles, why can't Viera and Hrothgar have hats? At this point, if the art team isn't going to give us new hats with the ears, just chop off our ears when we're wearing them. It's honestly better than nothing.

Rarely ever post here but I'm honestly disappointed in the dev team for how lackluster and poorly implemented the new Hrothgar hairstyles will be on release. Was very much looking forward to what we would get, and I had thought maybe at worst, they would just adapt the hairstyles that already exist to the rest of the Hroth faces. Upsetting.

We should've seen this coming when they kept amputating miqote ears with hats and when they added the tail amputating cape tbh..
