I'm not deifying him. I'm reading his body language and remembering him LITERALLY BREAKING DOWN IN TEARS BECAUSE HE HAD TO DELAY ENDWALKER. This man takes things very personally when he feels he has let down players. It doesn't excuse the hell out of this, at all. If anything it makes me feel like he knows they can do better, and wants to. Now he needs to prove to us he can, by having those ears on the hairstyles when the patch hits.

that's why we need to express our disappointment because this is entirely unacceptable. They could have easily paid the modders who already did ALL of this and more to finish the rest of the hairstyles and move on, but instead we are forced to have earless freaks if we want to have any kind of hairstyle that doesn't require us to buy a fantasia to change

I understand your point, We can & should be respectful even though this is a clear screw up and lapse of judgement.

BUT I think if he really cared & knew his team could do better, he should have just shown us the concept art of hairstyles planning to be added then asked for more time and not went with these... horrid decisions to push those hairs out- I'd have been okay with that
People are still going to sub/ buy fantasias/ they'll complain for 2-3 months then it will die down until a year of silence passes.

if they don't address it all between now and 6.1, I plan on giving up and using a fantasia to switch races. I wasted 3 years waiting for this to be fixed, and all they did was spit in my face. i'm done.

I've always loved the Viera race but they're quite lackluster in XIV- I figured we'd never get anything of substance added to them unless mods were involved

I hope you & the many other disgruntled folks find happiness in their characters- I wish everyone would just get a free pity fantasia at this point though.

This kind of behavior is unexpected, disappointing, and unacceptable. I'm just done holding out hope that they'll do what they promised. Guess it's time to switch back to Hyur

Yeah, I was a bit disappointed that the viera did not retain their inhuman proportions like in the Ivalice games, which is odd because just look at the elezen, who take the same very lanky proportions as the elvaan in 11. The lack of hats, too. Still... I was happy to see the male viera, whose faces/stances/emotes/animations are closest to the classic Final Fantasy prettyboy look I have wanted for ages.

Anyone who greenlit the Hrothgar hair better fess up to the April Fools joke. Sitting on it, not nearly that surprised. Even the end of season PvP reward is a reskin of pieces. Most of EW is a reskin. What is happening in the FFXIV internal world? I'd say it's just covid, but there has been a decline in effort for the assets department since SB.

Comes with the territory sadly, since we've been here for 3 damned years and still suffering. Either we accept it, voice our displeasure, and hope it gets fixed, or we fantasia or quit. There's sadly no alternatives here. Copium or you give up.
