I'm not a PoC, but my character is! I haven't finished Stormblood yet, but I'm happy to see something other than light skin and white hair.

White and black aren't even colours~
Yugiri, despite being part dragon, is very clearly Asian and was considered a scion. I can’t recall if she was officially a scion though.
Careful! She is an ilm taller and twice as rugged! You're right, if we don't count people like Riol.
Heck, my main group of 8 for trusts has 3 miqo'te, 4 elezen ... and Thancred.
G'raha's the only one who sticks out, for not having white hair.
Why, if I were a massive waste of space like the people who take this thread seriously, I'd say that meant there was no diversity at all in the Scions! (And then Alisae would hit me.)
From my perspective, FFXIV might not be the best place to find diversity in its humanoid characters.
GW2 is much better at creating aesthetically diverse characters in their Human race. From hair - with a distinctive curl pattern - down to facial features. I was astonished by the fact I could actually make a character that looks like me irl. But that game originates from a place with a naturally diverse population.
But because this is a JRPG, I doubt they'll bother. I've kind of given up on getting hair that looks like mine at this point anyways.
When can we get a tan hot male au ra scion instead of having to hang around with two bratty prepubescent teens.

I thought checking boxes was tokenism which is a thing which is bad.
Those are western values you're trying to insert in a Japanese game MADE by Japanese devs INSIDE a Japanese community.
Inserting a black character or with certain sexualities to represent a group of people that lack confidence and are in dire need of representation in every single corner IS NOT something the Japanese care or believe in.
I PoC doesn't just mean black. Yoy saying that kinda shows your ignorance. Also the OP is only asking. Chill out. I'd be all for a PoC Scion (outside of myself ofc)Lol I really hate that "PoC" term. Just say black. Stop lumping people under some made up umbrella. Anyway, Gaius and Raubahn are NOT black but deeply tanned. That's normally Japans go-to in these situations and they'll always try to lighten skin than darken. A part of their archaic culture. Oh and stop trying to inject 'merican perspectives into a Japanese game. Japan looks out for Japan and Japan only. Japan. #freepost
