I guess that the way I am looking at it is that we wouldn't have gotten those sets anyway if they weren't on the store.
So in reality it's not like you're actually missing out on it.
It'd be ideal if they created them as unlocks, for example I really wish there were more achievement gear pieces and even sets and that they were a bit more exciting.
But ideal and reality are two different things more often than not, and I also think that the ingame gear sets you get from doing content are going to have limitations on them because they want them to fit into the narrative somehow.
For example the sets in the Tower of Babil dungeon are sets designed for the narrative, but personally I don't find them to be very appealing and it's EXTREMELY rare I see anyone wearing them and I think that's because most do find them to be quite bland.
But they make more sense than the armor of Gaius and Livia or stuff like the Eastern Lady Errant gear dropping.
Personally I just wish they'd drop those self-imposed restraints and I think most would probably agree in effect even if their initial reaction was to disagree and say that the gear needs to '' make sense ''.
Because ultimately almost no one uses the gear instead they turn to the market board and get more fun crafted gear or dye and combine different pieces or turn to the mogstation.
It's not like they always have to drop it entirely but they can at least not be so strict about it.
They can still have Garlean gear drop in Tower of Babil for example but make the designs more unique and exciting.
Bleach is like One Piece for me, it's hard to start watching because of how many episodes there are.
Then again I did it with Gintama lol.
But damn.

I know this is a bit late sort of, being this is a few weeks back you posted this. I am reading this thread backwards >.> I kind of would like to see more male characters in the game if people do decide to switch if their is substantial amount of change in the character creator. I have my fantasia in my saddle bag waiting for the day they add something I can't change that would make my character closer to what I wish for. Ironically though many anime's have otokonoko it seems that in mmos you are unable to be one. I just want my character with no chest that is all, but in every game the men are usually super manly the closest I guess would be the feminine look you can kind of get from bunny boys and cat boys, but they are too manly. Sure you can wear some dresses, but I honestly can't win in final fantasy.
Right now I can't wear most shorts because female character models are perfectly capable of wearing some shorts but not others. If I picked male character I would not be able to wear most dresses if I wanted to. For some reason female models with smaller chest size have a weird issue where they have saggy pai pai in many dresses I did wish to make an outfit out of. I ended up not really getting what I wished for anyway, but still wish to stay the height I have chosen which is shorter than bunny boys and cat boys can be as well as the feminine emotes I wished for.
It is like this in dark souls where if you go masculine you get unga bunga cave man face and feminine gives you baby Michael Jackson but alien baby michael jackson, which could be hillarious if that was what I wished to go for, but I just wanted to make otokonoko. It was the same in Aion if you went to the more boyish or feminine frame even with their vast character creator you would get terrifying looking baby faces or big manly men and nothing in between.
Just once I would like to be myself in a video game. T_T There are so many outfits too I wish to wear but if you are female in ff you get the only that option and no cool frontier jacket for you. It isn't a huge problem, but gosh I know even with the update this will probably not be the case. It is a bit strange when otokonoko or traps are in numerous japanese media and crossdressing may not be super popular but does exist as well as crossplay for cosplay, but usually in video games it is really tough to find a character creator that does this, I mean at all.
I just needed to lowkey vent about this and your post reminded me of it that and the the fact that when looking on the market board a hat a hat was gender locked >.< A hat! How can I not wear this on my head? There must be powerful Eorzean magicks at work here directly from the void not deeming me worthy to wear a hat and can only wear a bow.
Kinda frustrating and disappointing to see so many people defend Will Smith slapping Chris Rock.
I do understand getting upset about it but people are unironically making the argument that the joke was the '' initial assault '' and that the slap was in retaliation ( retaliation is illegal in most civilized places of the world... ).
Will seem'd to have laughed at it until he noticed his wife was upset and then went up to slap him even.
It's cliche but lets be real here if Chris had been a female comedian people would've lost their shit it would've become an insane controversy.
I do think it's worse because of the physical difference, even if Chris is a smaller guy than Will.
But just because it'd be worse doesn't mean it isn't wrong in this case and it's disappointing to see people who otherwise parade around as progressive just laugh hysterically and make excuses for a man being attacked.
But yeah... Just the response to it is really frustrating, everyone is treating it like a joke and/ or are making excuses for why it was justified.
I dunno why it's so damn hard to just say that it was wrong.
Like even if you think it's funny you can still admit that it was wrong.
The joke was in poor taste, but...that's also part of being a pro stand up comedian who's got a vulgar side, and most of them do. They're gonna roast people left and right, and it IS going to be offensive. It's just a thing. lol Most celebrities take it with grace and move on with their lives. The biggest part of comedy is being able to laugh at oneself. Will's wife is also kind of a horrible person, so there's that. Will Smith did not conduct himself in a respectable manner (and honestly, he hasn't for a while now), so this is entirely on him. I fully support defending the honor of one's significant other, but this was not the time or place for a physical altercation. Will could have pulled him aside after the show and said "man, that wasn't cool" and that would have been the end of it. Personally, I'd pay good money to hear what Chris Rock was holding back when he said "Oh I could... *shakes head* nah" but then stopped himself to keep the show rolling. He clearly had at least a few jokes in his comedic arsenal that he was dying to use. But he did handle the situation like a champ, so good on him. He's a better man than I. I lost respect for Will Smith, but I now feel a lot more for Chris Rock. It's a shame too. I practically grew up watching Will Smith's movies and such. This situation would have been akin to watching Robin Williams punching George Carlin over an offensive joke. Just...uncalled for, given their professions. Rip both of those guys. At least one of them is probably rolling over in their graves over this.
I had to look up on YouTube what you all are talking about. Yeah, that is not the way to handle a situation like that, at all, but him and his wife's 'honor' was at stake, so I assume he thought he had to do something.

Comedy is comedy.
It's sorta like going to Olive Garden and being offended that they served pasta.
The real joke ? Far worse things could have been said about Jada, and everyone in that room and in the world knows that. That's what really got Will.
disgusting behaviour on will's part
everyone's got pain, but you gotta be able to laugh at it
that he couldn't is very revealing of the current situation

I'm not taking a side in the whole Chris Rock/Will Smith debate. Mostly ignorant about the Hollywood world. All I know is that I'm addicted to the memes coming out of it.
