Are 15 liners FC recruitment spams generally accepted in FF?

Curious what some of you think about some of these Casino spammers in cities like Limsa. I've personally blacklisted some of the offending ones but that doesn't stop those rolling random numbers. There is one in particular on Sophia in Limsa and I find that spam to be personally unacceptable. It can go on for hours.

We are a bit luckier than you on Sophia, although that "casino" is in the party finder, we don't get the open-chat random number spam too often. The shout ads are there of course.

I will be glad when housing opens for us (maybe 11/04/22 at this stage) and we can avoid Limsa like it needs avoiding. For now, I've taken to making a chatlog without /say, /shout and /yell too. I flip to there when I need to do retainers.

(Off-topic: I find the people on Sophia are usually real fun to party with in Dungeon finder.)

Looks like a real party server judging by the activity in Limsa alone. And Casino chat is probably reportable although i haven't done it.

Yes, I agree.

Although I personally just hide/blacklist and save my reports for bad *-isms, I do think the random-number Casino chat is reportable, it's along the same lines as excessive emote spam which is very well known as reportable.

I think this may be a DC/server thing. Hang out in Sharlayan or Limsa on Jenova and there are advertisements all the time that are sometimes across two macros (though not more than 5 lines each or so) about their clubs or FC recruitment or whatever. Only time I see someone say something is if we see the same one more than once in a few minutes. So for me this once an hour is pretty tame and wouldn't even raise eyebrows on my server.

I doubt a report will do much, just blist them and never look back.

This same exact person in my server has been going around in different city zones spamming this 15 liner FC recruitment, every other hour or so(the frequency flactuates)
Its obviously an annoying spammer/spam posting and i proceed to report to support desk on this, however it seems that its useless and he continues to travel around the server spamming this 15 liner FC recruitment and all i get is an automated generated reply from the GM for the last 4 times i had reported him


Do people get warnings/suspended/muted for constantly(frequently) spamming a 15 liner macro on shout in FF?

So I personally have my chat list customized. I have everything in the Social bar, Party Bar (Which I also include Private messages), and FC Bar.

I don’t understand how that is spam. I would consider it spam if they shouted 50+ in 10 minutes.
